Here is my edition that I did for the site:
1 -- LAKERS -- With the big four gelling, L.A. has been the team to beat all year. 2 -- PACERS -- Thanks to the NBA's best scoring defense (83.0 PPG), Indiana continues their Eastern Conference domination. 3 -- KINGS -- Teams have had a tough time stopping Sac-Town's league-leading offense, even without Chris Webber. 4 -- HORNETS -- Baron Davis has taken the team on his back in Jamal Mashburn's abscence. He is the key reason why New Orleans has the second best record in the East. 5 -- MAVERICKS -- At home the Mavs are unstoppable. On the road they struggle. Nonetheless, the positives outweigh the negatives and they claim the fifth spot in the power rankings with a 13-7 record. 6 -- NUGGETS -- Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets are on a seven-game winning streak. 'Nuff said. 7 -- PISTONS -- Perhaps the best backcourt, Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton, combined with an excellent defense, has Detroit near the top of the East. 8 -- JAZZ -- Utah continues to surprise without Stockton and Malone, compiling a season record of 11-8 9 -- T'WOLVES -- Maybe the best team on paper next to the Lakers, Minnesota could be doing better than they are. But, they still crack the top ten. 10 -- ROCKETS -- This week the world learned that Yao is in fact deaf. Houston is off to an "unheard of" 12-7 start behind his play. 11 - RAPTORS -- Jalen Rose has turned the Raptors around. Since his acquisition, Toronto is 3-0. 12 -- SONICS -- Seattle started the season off very hot behind Ronald (Flip) Murray's play. But, he has slumped as of late, therefore the team has taken a swing. 13 -- GRIZZLIES -- Memphis has won five straight and newly-acquired Bonzi Wells has provided a spark. 14 -- BLAZERS -- Portland could probably have a better record than 10-7 right now, but their record is still fairly acceptable. 15 -- 76ERS -- Allen Iverson needs some help. His teammates haven't contributed as much as they should, therefore the Sixers are 11-10. But still, they are atop their division. 16 -- SPURS -- The Spurs aren't looking like defending NBA champions at this point in the season. Their road struggles have hurt them terribly. 17 -- WARRIORS -- 9-9 is terriffic for the undermanned Warriors. 18 -- SUNS -- With superstars like Amare Stoudemire, Stephon Marbury, and Shawn Marion, the Suns could be doing a lot better than 8-11 right now. 19 -- NETS -- It doesn't look like New Jersey will make it to the NBA Finals again this year. Off to a sub-par 9-11 start, the Nets have no excuses. 20 -- BUCKS -- The fact that Milwaukee has the NBA's fifth best offense hasn't made the Bucks a success. Michael Redd can't do it all on his own. 21 -- CLIPPERS -- The Clips have been very streaky this year. Unfortunately, one streak was made of six straight losses. 22 -- WIZARDS -- With the personnel that Washington has, the Wizards should be doing a lot better than 7-12. 23 -- CELTICS -- After making it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last year, the Celtics have struggled. Paul Pierce can't do it all on his own. 24 -- KNICKS -- New York started the season off fairly hot. But, after a four-game losing streak, the Knicks are pretty much right where they were last year at 7-14. 25 -- HAWKS -- A four-game losing streak has Atlanta finding themselves falling to the cellar of the Eastern Conference. 26 -- CAVALIERS -- Cleveland has lost some close ones this year, but a loss is a loss. As expected, LeBron James has pretty much been the Cavs' only bright spot. 27 -- HEAT -- Losing is getting to be a habit of the Miami Heat. Fans had playoff hopes at the beginning of the season, but the postseason doesn't look to be in Miami's future. 28 -- BULLS -- The Bulls continue their losing ways. Ever since Jordan left, Chicago has been one of the most unsuccessful teams in sports. 29 -- MAGIC -- We all know about the Magic's struggles. Their losing streak is now up to eighteen games.

Now that I'm going to be doing the site's official power rankings, what does everyone think of my first edition?

I think its still relatively early to rate the best Eastern teams high(except Indiana). New Orleans I dont think is that good. There record of course is pretty good, but let teams span out a bit. Orlando for instance is ranked as the worst team in the league, becuase of there record. But in all honesty, I think they can be good as shit. Im not disagreeing, but I think that many power ranking will change alot in the next 3 weeks.
And no way is New Orleans the 4th best team. 6th is probably pushing it. Yes I do realize they are winning without Mashburn.
Keep up the good work.

There power rankings, I think if NOH is 10-4 and Dallas is 8-6 NOH should be ranked high for what they ARE doing not what they CAN do...Just my 1 cent.
