LMAO, Oregon State is shooting themselves in the foot. Third and long at like the 21, and they commit defensive holding. Ten yards, first down. Two incomplete passes, should be 3rd and 10 from like the 11 or so, defensive holding again. Half the distance to the goal, 1st down at like the 6 or so. OSU had LSU done for, and they shoot themselves in the foot twice.

Read the post I just made. If OSU goes on to lose, it is entirely the secondary's fault for commiting defensive holding TWICE after having LSU to at least third down both times.

TOUCHDOWN OREGON STATE MISSED PAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did an LSU player get a hand on that, or did the kicker miss it on his own? From the angle I saw, it looked like someone got a hand on it deflecting it right,

That has got to be the worst kicker in the nation hands down I think he would be better off staying in the south or something. He won't make it five minutes back into Oregon alive. Every Oregon State fan and every person in Oregon will be out hunting his ass down to kick the shit out of it and kill him.

How in the hell do you miss 3 easy FG's like that? Reminds me of the Packers Pre-Season game I went to when Chris Conway missed 4 FG's. Idiot.

Remember when tigerbait was ripping on USC earlier this week for squeaking by V tech. I cant wait to here him explain the one. Is wasn't pretty, but the Tigers overcame a 9-0 half time deficit to defeat Oregon State 22-21. For those of you who missed the game, I'll give you a quick recap before sharing my comments. The game was delayed 50 minutes because of heavy rain and lightening, and when the game finally started Skyler Green of LSU fumbled the opening kick off and Oregon State recovered it. Oregan State took advantage of the mistake and quickly took a 6-0 lead. The PAT attempt by OSU was no good. In the second possession of the game for LSU, Marcus Randall threw an interception but the LSU defense kept OSU off the scoreboard. LSU could not get any kind of offense going in the first quarter but started to move the football a little in the second quarter. Chris Jackson missed a 40-yard field goal and LSU had a long touchdown pass to Dwayne Bowe called back because of a motion penalty. OSU kicked a 40-yard field goal with 1:35 to play in the first half to take a 9-0 half time lead. Marcus Randall struggled in the first half and gave way to redshirt freshman quarterback JaMarcus Russell to start the second half. Russell was not very effective in his first three series, but he showed a lots of poise and made it obvious to many that he is the real deal. Russell hooked up with Skyler Green for a 16-yard touchdown pass with 5:40 to play in the third quarter to cut the OSU lead to 9-7. Oregon State responded with a touchdown with 0:48 to play in the third quarter to increase the lead to 15-7. Things did not look good for LSU in the fourth with less than three minutes to play, but Russell found Dwayne Bowe open for 28 yards and a 38-yard touchdown pass to make the score 15-13. Russell then scored a two-point conversion on a bootleg play to tie the game at 15-15. In overtime, LSU picked up a first down and with the ball on the four-yard line Marcus Randall scored on a quarterback draw. Chris Jackson kicked the all important extra point to give LSU a 22-15 lead. OSU came back and scored on a fourth down pass play to make the score 22-21, but missed the PAT touchdown and the Tigers won the game 22-21. Okay, now for my comments. Some people will say that LSU was lucky to win the game because the OSU place kicker missed three PAT's, but I don't see it that way. The opposite could be said because OSU got a cheap touchdown on the Skyler Green fumble, LSU had a touchdown called back because of a penalty, and late in the game after the touchdown pass to Bowe the OSU kick returner's foot touched down on the goal line on what should have been a safety for LSU that would have given LSU a 17-15 lead. With that said, I was very disappointed many times throughout the night, particularly in LSU's inability to run the football. Oregon State put seven and eight men in the box and challenged LSU to throw the football, which the Tigers were not able to do, especially in the first half. LSU had 10 possessions in the game in which they did not pick up a first down. As for the quarterback situation, I was very impressed with JaMarcus Russell's arm strength and I believe he will be a two time All-American before leaving LSU. I think Coach Saban knows that Russell has more up side than Randall, but I support Coach Saban 100 percent for starting Randall and I applaud him for starting Russell the second half of the game. Tiger fans are going to need to be patient with LSU on offense because they are so very young. I believe by the fourth or fifth game of the season LSU is going to have a very good offensive football team. I was very impressed with LSU wide receiver Dwayne Bowe who was open all night long. I was also impressed with Early Doucet who did not have any receptions in the game, but was wide open on several deep pass routes. I was somewhat surprised that Alley Broussard did not play more than he did considering that he is a power running back and the wet field might have worked to his advance. I thought the defense played well considering they were on the field an awful lot as the offense could not do anything. I was very impressed with the LSU defensive line, especially Spears, Williams and Wroten. I was also impressed with the quickness of freshman defensive tackle Glen Dorsey who, as far as I could tell, was one of only three true freshmen to play in the game, the other two being Doucet and Jacob Hester on special teams. I was not impressed with the LSU linebackers and the large number of missed tackles. I was also a little disappointed in Corey Webster who missed a couple of tackles. I was impressed with LaRon Landry, Jessie Daniels and Ronnie Prude of the defensive back field. I know that many Tiger fans are not happy today. In my opinion, you should be happy because a win is a win and LSU beat a very good OSU team with a great quarterback. I believe the close win is going to bring the LSU team down to earth and it sends a message to all, players and coaches alike, that defending the national title is not going to be easy. I believe LSU will look 100 percent better next Saturday against Arkansas State. --------------------------- At least we are 1-0. Geaux Tigers My new top 5 1.OU 2.Georgia 3.Michigan 4.USC 5.LSU
