Wow, you wouldn't even put us in your top 40? Top 25, I can certainly understand, but TCU not even in the top 40? You're certainly entitled to your opinion (although I question the basis for that ranking), but perhaps you'll change your tune next week after the Texas Tech game.

I dont think he will be adding TCU to any list after losing to Texas Tech this week

I see a lot of ACC bias. No way there are 7 ACC in top 25. Maryland #10?? bias?? Geogia Tech is not that good and is too high. Clemson lost so #16 is too high.

Everyone on this board is biased. We all want to see our home teams do as well as possible. What else would you expect?
I try to be as neutral as possible toward everyone else. I hate USM with a passion for beating us last year, but I certainly think they scored an impressive win against Nebraska, and I applaud them for it.
I don't think TCU will lose next week, although it's certainly possible. Of course, I AM biased on this one. I've heard many people who don't have a vested interest in TCU or Texas Tech make predictions both ways.

I don't think he has changed it much from his preseason rankings. Clemson is too high at 16 after a loss. GT is too high at 14 after beating Clemson.
Everyone on this board is biased. It happens. I have yet to see one person's avatar have all 117 DIA teams on there. It would be funny to try and do that.

Rating all 117 Div 1 teams would take too long and too much work and I wouldnt have time to do that.

I didn't say ranking them. Our pictures. Most people have one team on there. Ergo, bias.

I lost all respect for this list when I saw you had MAryland at 10. Then I saw you thought they were better than every Big 10 team and I lost all respect for your knowledge of college football...

I may be wrong.
Honestly, Michigan and Ohio State have not impressed me.
Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, and Wisconsin have but most of them have yet to play a strong team, so i didn't see how i could move them aheda of a number of teams becuase for instance, Iowa struggled against Iowa State, Minnesota wasn't impressive against Illinois State from what I hear, but I haven't watched the game. Purdue and Wisconsin have been pretty impressive and theres a good chance I underrated them in the Preseason, but I can't move them ahead of teams like Auburn, UVA, Maryland, or Florida until one of those teams don't impress me.
I've said for a while Georgia Tech is a top 25 team, but I never expected them to win in Death Valley. I thought that merited a significant move up in the rankings.

Whatever reasoning you use is your business...Teams like Michigan and OSU have played games against teams who spent the entire off season with their game as motivation... You dont think Notre Dame wanted revenge or Miami OH was preparing for Michigan the entire summer?? UC had game planned for OSU the entire summer, as have Marshall and NC St. Hell, the Marshall coach said he spent 3 days planning for Troy. Maryland isnt the big game on everyone's schedule... It definately makes a HUGE difference when you get every team's best punch.

-Texas barely beat a mediocre Arkansas team so #3 is too high. Their other opponent North Texas got beat by Florida Atlantic (or something like that.) -Florida State is now 0-1, they should not be in front of the other strong BCS conference teams that are 2-0. -Georgia was barely able to get by S. Carolina, and the gave up far to many points to 1AA Georgia Southern. -Purdue has been nothing but impressive so far. Their offense is strong, and their defense should be adequate for BIG 10 play. They are ranked too low. -I will try to hold off on some of my bias, however LSU is still 2-0, and should be ranked higher. -Auburn has yet to be proven against a strong opponent, they will play LSU this weekend and should get their first real test. They are at least a top 15 team, however I am not sure they are worthy of a top 10 spot at this point. -USC.....I just won't comment. -Michigan is still a top 20 team. They had a poor showing against ND, but they are starting a new QB, and will be better by mid-season. -Ohio State might be ranked a bit high. They have now had their first close game of the year with Marshall, and the Buckeyes were not impressive against Cincinnati. -Utah should be in the top 20, Boise and Fresno should be in the top 25. Southern Miss deserves consideration as well. -Clemson should have fallen to maybe 20-25. GT is not a bad team, but the Tigers can't afford another start like last seasons. They should again finish strong, but this team needs some improvement from what I have seen. -Georgia Tech-#14 is way too high. They should be maybe 24 or 25 at best IMO. -Maryland should be ranked, however #10 is too high. Maybe #15-18 would be a little bit more appropriate. No offense though...we are all a little bias. -Northern Illinois had a scare against a good 1AA program in Southern Illinois. I am uncertain as to where they should be placed. -Louisville is ranked too low. They will have an amazing offense this year, and their defense will be good enough hold down some opponents. -Cal has been great so far, their offense has been explosive. Their defense still leaves some to be desired, however this is a top 15 team. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
