Wisconsin is going to kick some A$$ this year. Besides, this was simply a mathematical ranking of the 117 teams based on a formula that I came up with at the beggining of the season.

I am still impresssed that you made this rankings sysems up with a mathematical system and not just opinion and is much better than almost all that I have seen.

Seems rational to me. How many different factors are included into it again? SOS, your personal, the polls, etc?

Seems rational to me. How many different factors are included into it again? SOS, your personal, the polls, etc? Formula components: - AP Poll Ranking - Coaches Poll Ranking - My own personal rankings - My SOS rankings - collegebcs.com SOS rankings - Quality wins (based on the average of the AP and Coaches poll rankings) - Number of home games - Number of road games (*includes games on a neutral site) - Margin of vicotry - Margin of loss - Timing of big games (playing ranked teams on consecutive weeks earns a larger point value) - Record I will not go into all of the percentages and numbers becuase it would take me too long. However, these are the components that I use.

That's great. Do you use simple Excel or some other dedicated spreadsheet? That is a lot of work to put into something that has almost no benefit to you.

Tiger has a lot of free time on his hands That'll probably change once he gets into college, wherever he goes.

And yes I realize that I have a lot of free time on my hands, and that this is of little to no benifit to me. But this has been something that I enjoy doing, so I will keep doing it. I certainly expect that going to college next year will really cut into my free time, so I figure I might as well do this while I can. And it isn't too much work keeping this up right now, all I have to do is go down the list and enter W/L, and the score. The spreadsheet does the rest for me. The thing that takes a while is going through it a couple of times and checking everything.

Do I really have to keep repeating myself? My ratings favor teams with good defenses. That is what Wisconsin does best, and the numbers reflected that.
