So, who do you all think it is as of this point in the season? Feel free to explain why.

:-XBig 12 South, hopefully husker wont get mad. But im going to pick them just because 5 out of 6 teams are going to a bowl game, no other conference has that ratio

But im going to pick them just because 5 out of 6 teams are going to a bowl game, no other conference has that ratio It is unfair to mention just the BIG 12 South. The big 12 is a conference just like the SEC. You can not list the divisions seperately. That is unfair. Just because the North is down this year doesn't mean they are no longer part of the conference. Maybe we should just start listing the top 5 or 6 teams in each conference to level the playing field. I think the SEC would win under that scenario, with the BIG 12 in second.

If I had meant it only to be the south, it wouldn't have been in parentheses. It stands for the Big XII as a whole, but because the North is having a down year, most people will base their vote on the South. If this had been any year before 2001, I would have said SEC (East), because the best teams were in the east. But it still would have meant the entire SEC. They would have both been in the poll if I had wanted to two divisions to be voted on separate.

The Big 12 South should vote to send the North to the Sun Belt and bring in 6 SEC teams

The Big 12 South should vote to send the North to the Sun Belt and bring in 6 SEC teams I think I know how that will end up........... The new BIG 12-SEC Conference West: Oklahoma Texas Oklahoma State Nebraska Texas A&M Texas Tech *You may have noticed that I dropped Baylor and added nebraska. I did this because you can't seperate Nebraska from the BIG 12. It just doesn't seem right. East: Georgia Tennessee LSU Auburn Alabama Arkansas If this were to happen.........god this would be great. Makes you wonder what the PAC 10 whimps would do to try to brag about their SOS. "We play Notre Dame", "We have a good record against the BIG 10", "We suck more than France", etc.

Would you just go ahead and call it the Southwest Conference again? The awesome conference? Bow Down Conference? What would you do with the other 12 homeless teams? And Florida is still an ok team with a down year. Kansas State almost threw the national championship last year. They would be a bit of an odd amalgam of team styles. South Carolina could join the ACC, because we really don't want BC. Really. Hell, Florida could too, and we could get rid of Tech. Georgia or Virginia Tech, take your pick.

If you could make it out of that with only a couple losses in conferences you would be doing good.

Ok, I like that new conference. I'm gonna play a little with this.
Big 12: Texas Texas A&M Texas Tech Oklahoma Oklahoma State Nebraska Arkansas Alabama Auburn Tennessee Georgia LSU
Big Dozen (or Ten Plus Two): Ohio State Michigan Minnesota Wisconsin Purdue Indiana Illinois Iowa Iowa State Penn State Michigan State Northwestern
ACC: Florida State Miami Virginia Virginia Tech North Carolina NC State Duke Wake Forest Maryland Clemson Georgia Tech Boston College
Big East: Florida (Florida would join the Big East for sure if it was left in the dust like that) West Virginia Louisville Pittsburgh Syracuse South Carolina Cincinnati South Florida Rutgers Temple UConn Kentucky (give the Big East yet another basketball school)
Heartland Conference (working name): Kansas K State Missouri Mississippi Mississippi State Southern Mississippi Vanderbilt Miami (OH) Bowling Green Northern Illinois Marshall Memphis
Mountain West: Utah TCU Colorado Boise State Colorado State BYU UNLV New Mexico Wyoming San Diego State Air Force UTEP
Conference USA: Baylor SMU Rice Houston North Texas Tulsa Tulane UAB Troy East Carolina Central Florida Louisiana Tech
Pac-12: USC California UCLA Stanford Fresno State Nevada Washington Washington State Oregon Oregon State Arizona Arizona State
Independents: Notre Dame (turned down the Big Dozen invitation) Army Navy
WAC: San Jose State Hawaii Arkansas State Idaho La Lafayette Louisiana Monroe Middle Tenn. St. New Mexico State Utah State
MAC: Akron Ball State Buffalo Central Michigan Eastern Michigan Kent State Ohio Toledo Western Michigan
Well, that was fun. The changes to the Big East and Mountain West and the creation of my new conference, the Heartland Conference, were particularly enjoyable.

Where is LSU? I think you might have just overlooked them when you were doing the BIG 12. Just thought I would point that out. Overall, great job!
