People talk about it, but I don't buy it. Most of them are overgrown hype. Some of these players have only been seen a few times..."If you don't draft him you might miss the next Nowitzki!".....How many times have we heard that? Why don't we just have a Euro league.

Yes they are. Most of them have one way of life. Basketball or help with family. So they play all the time, they live basketball. Expecially the chinese and japanese playas. They play fundamemtal basketball and play it all the time. Over here in the U.S. , Basketball is not your only choice of being sucessfull.

America has proven year in and out that its the most athetic country in the world because of the Olympics. The NBA is getting more foerign players now because its becoming more popular and known world wide now.

We sell tickets, they do the little thing and shoot 3's as 7'0" SG's. how does that mean they are going to take over?, why would teams want to draft 7 footers that can only shoot and have no inside game, would you rather have a 6'2" allen iverson that can drive and create his own shot with his quickness or a 7 footer that stands behind the arc all day waiting for somebody to pass him the ball, how many foreign players are successful right now, dirk, yao, and peja are about it, who do we have? tmac, AI, kobe, and thousands of others i don't want to name, they are going to be part of the game but they aren't going to come close to taking it over |

I never said they are taking over, I was just pointing out that if they were as athletic as us they would be amazing cuz they are like tall College Centers playin PG and can shoot like hell.

ya but they AREN'T as athletic as us, that's the only thing that makes us better, but it makes us a lot better, they are ahead of us fundamentally but not that far ahead

Exactly, we are a lot more athletic, they are decent enough above us in fundamentals, and got height on us, but the athelticness is more important then nethin else.

Immagrants are not the future of the NBA, no way. All the young talent right now is coming out of the US, LeBron, Carmelo, Wade, Bosh, and there is plenty young talent out there in College. True there are a lot of decent immagrants out there in the NBA right now but there really isnt anyone who can dominate like the young stars of the US can. I still cant believe Detroit passed on Carmelo no matter what kind of potential they think Darko has, that was one of the dumbest things I saw the whole offseason.

you're right, even if darko turns out to be a great hall of fame player which i don't believe he will, carmelo is still going to be better
