Jermaine is up there on the MVP list now, I made that poll about a month ago so that is why I didnt have Jermaine on the list. But right now I think the top are KG, Peja, Jermaine, TD and Baron.

This topic isnt even debatable. KG is MVP, his stats are just sooooo much better than everyone else's.

MVP
definition- Most Valuable Player
Valuable
definition- Something of meaning
The MVP IS NOT FOR THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE. If it was, it would be called the, "Best Player Award." Holy shit. If you take Jermaine off his team, and KG off his, the Wolves would not doubt beat them. Then you put them back on each others team, I think it would be a better game than before. Although the Wolves would still probably win.
IMO, Garnett is a better player, but Jermaine is more VALUABLE. Which is directly what the award call for.

FINALLY.....................Someone actually gets the meaning of MVP, the person who wins POTY in college is who they think the best player is, which I think they should do in the NBA too, but KG would still get MVP over Jermaine cuz hes better.

Without Garnett the Wolves would not have been in the playoffs the last seven years. Garnett is MORE VALUABLE. Take him off now and maybe the T-Wolves get the 7 or 8 seed. Garnett is the best and most valuable player in the league. He makes his teammates better.

Pacers might not make the playoffs in East witout Jermaine tho and as well all know only 2-3 teams from east at most would make playoffs in West.

With all respects to KG, the Wolves would beat the Pacers if both were lost. It would be a good game though.
Guards: Wolves- Cassel, Hassell, Hoiberg, Hudson, Wally Pacers- Anderson, Brewer, Johnson, Jones, Reggie, Tinsley
Forwards: Wolves- Ebi, Madsen, Spree, Trent Pacers- Artest, Bender, Brezec, Croshere, Harrington, Jones,
Centers: Wolves- Johnson, Miller, Olowokandi Pacers- Foster, Pollard
*The Wolves take the Guard and Center spots. Not easily, but still are better at them.

Yeah Wolves would win in like 5-6 games in a 7 game series without KG and O' Neal. KG is def. ganna win MVP cuz people don't vote the way we are tryin to explain, but thats what the true meanin is am I correct?

KWebb I like your definition of the MVP because that's what I think the award is about also. And you are also right about how Jermaine is more valuable to his team then KG is to the Wolves, but not by much. But if your definition is true then why didnt KG win the award last year? Without him the Wolves probably wouldnt have even made the playoffs last year with Wally being out half the season and with Troy not even emerging until about half way through the season. This year KG is the no question MVP. Jermaine is more valuable to his team but KG is almost just as valuable and KG puts up way better numbers then Jermaine to go along with it. Jermaine may be up on the list for MVP, but KG is no doubt the frontrunner at this point in the season.
