I started my dynasty after simulating one year and then doing some recruiting and changing the names to MU's real recruits. They are, Mike Kinsella, Ryan Amorso, and Ousmane Barro. I cut Tony Gries. I am playing on March Madness with 11 minute halfs and playing on All-Conference. Here's a little report for the first game vs. Weber State.
[glow=purple,2,300]Weber State[/glow]@ [glow=blue,2,300]Marquette[/glow]
Marquette's season opener was a tough one. Weber State gave MU way more than expected. Weber State had less turnovers and won the battle of the boards against the inexperienced post players of Marquette. Weber State was up by as much as 8 in the 1st half but a few 3's by Travis Diener and Steve Novak put MU up 38-36 at the half. Marquette outplayed Weber for most of the 2nd half. Marqutte was up by 10 with two minutes left. Weber State rallied and scored with 30 seconds left to the tie the game. Travis Diener took the last shot of the half for MU and missed. The game was tied 69-69 and headed for OT. In the overtime, Sophomore Dameon Mason took over for Marquette and scored 10 of his 27 points in the overtime. Marquette won 83-79 in a tough opener.
[glow=yellow,2,300]Key Stats[/glow] Dameon Mason-27 Points Travis Diener-23 Points Steve Novak-10 Points (3-3 3PT) Ousmane Barro-8 Blocks and 8 boards in MU debut.
I'll get more in depth for the next game. I didnt write anything down for this one, just remembered that stuff.

[glow=blue,2,300]#6 Kentucky (4-0)[/glow]@[glow=yellow,2,300]Marquette (1-2)[/glow]
The first half was just ugly for Marquette. They commited turnover after turnover after turnover. Kentucky just dominated and was up 42-29 at the half. Early in the 2nd half Dameon Mason left the game with an ankle injury. Marquete basically has no explosiveness without Mason and they are already suffering from no post game now that Scott Merritt has graduated. In the final minutes Marquette rallied but came up short losing 75-69.
Key Stats for Marquette
Travis Diener 19 points Dameon Mason 16 Points Steve Novak 11 points

Marquette was in control for most of the first half but Butler rallied at the end of the first and took a 31-29 lead heading into the locker room. The 2nd half was very close the whole way through. Marquette was up 61-58 with 20 seconds left and Butler nailed a three. Dameon Mason brought the ball down the court and missed a shot at the buzzer. The game was tied 61-61 and was headed for overtime. In the overtime with 35 seconds left Todd Townsend missed and jumper and Butler got the rebound. Avery Sheets brought the ball down the court for Butler. With 5 seconds left he launched a three over Travis Diener and nailed it. Mason inbounded the ball to Chapman who through up a prayer and missed it. Butler won the game 78-75 and Marquette lost its fourth straight.
Marquette Key Stats Dameon Mason 37 points Travis Diener 13 points Ousmane Barro 10 points 10 rebounds
