A 12 game losing streak? Ouch, I thought they were Wild Card contenders last month?

Pitchers figured them out. There a group of average hitters, they were bound to slump sometime. Add Jenkins and Pod's poor season and things don't look good. Cannot wait until Ben Sheets's deal ends so we see him leave. The Brewers are just a door for players to walk threw and thats the way it will always be.

They will pay Sheets, Melvin has said it many times he is the FRANCHISE and they will NOT trade him and they will try to resign him. We need to dump Jenkins salary, he fills up 1/3 of the payroll and is batting .250 this year. In 2 years though WATCHOUT! PRINCE FIELDER! RICKIE WEEKS! BEN HENDRICKSON! JORGE DE LA ROSA! COREY HART! BRAD NELSON! JJ HARDY! The Brewers have the best farm system in baseball and will be contenders in a few years.

They won't let Fielder go? That's right because the Brewers are going to sign Fielder to a 10 year deal.

Does anyone know if Wes Helms is back from his injury?

I really wished Helms would have stayed with pitching. The guy a had a fastball in the mid ninties and good command of location and curveball in HS. But the scouts know better than me. I think playing in Atlanta really hurt his development b/c he didn't play on a regular basis.

I was actually rooted for this team too. I liked this team and thought they would do well in the postseason, but sometimes you just go downhill.
The Phillies are going through the same thing. They were leading the division at the break and now they aren't even wild card contenders, the Marlins are!

You have to watch out for the Marlins cause it seems like they are always playing their best towards the end of regular season and in playoffs.

Peter please. All those guys you mentioned will skip town as soon as they can. actually, the brewers get to have those players for 6 years before they can even become a FA. the brewers this year were just hoping to be around .500. they are going to be awesome in a couple of years. all the players PJS listed are extremely good. ESPECIALLY rickie weeks. he is going to be the best 2b in baseball by 2008.
