Wow is he good. I don't know the exact numbers but he is hitting around .315 with over .450 OBP and has over 20 HR's and 85 RBI's. He is right up there for MVP canidates if Houston could get the Wildcard. I like the Astros and have been watching him like all season and finally decided to post about him. He draws so many walks and has great power. He is also only 28. I don't think he could win MVP, but he should be a canidate he is so underated.

It has been amazing to me how Houston has done this year. Batting lineup has several future hall of famers, along with some incredible young talent. The pitching rotation was considered by many to have been the best in baseball at the beggining of the season, and is loaded with talent. They simply did not perform, or play like a team for a number of months. I think we are now starting to see this team come together, and play like they should have all year. I pity the cards for having two more series against us. Houston will go at least 4-2 in those games, and we will sweep San Fran. The Astros will win the Wild Card this year, I guarantee it. We will win the WS. This time last year I called it on the CBS board that LSU would win the NC, and now I will go ahead and say the Astros will win the world series. IT WILL HAPPEN!!!!

How can you predict they will win the World Series when you don't even know if they will make the playoffs.

In most of those playoffs they played the Braves who were usually the best team in the NL. So they could have been the 2nd best team and lost in the 1st Round every year.

first of all, astros won't make the playoffs.

Houston always chokes in the playoffs. Their best team ever was in '98 and they didn't draw the Braves, yet they still choked and lost to the Padres.
