I say they sneak in the 6th or 7th seed. Kobe is very good but he going to have to work much harder to score because teams are going to throw many guys at him. Lamar Odom is good but he'll play SF. There's really no depth to this team and thats what will get them.

I say a 5 or 6. They have very solid perimeter play. Kobe, Odom, George, Butler, Payton if he stays, Walton. And down low they dont have stars, but quality role players in Grant and Divac.
People are underating this team. Kobe wont have to cover the best perimter player anymore, so he wont have to work harder.

Payton was traded to the Celts, I think they'll get 6 or 7 , but their lack of a PF and Vlade as your center is going to make it tough on Kobe, Bet money his percentage goes down this year without the Shaqzilla in the middle

Payton said he'll retire maybe if he's shipped Boston, and Brian Grant is one of the better rebounders in the league, Chris Mihm isnt bad, Karl Malone is still a 10. 7. 2 guy, and Slava is productive off the bench. To me, thats depth. And Vlade seemed to be effective with the Kings.

If you're counting Mihm, then Payton is retired or a Celtic....cuz they were in the same deal...you can't have your cake and eat it too...

I thought Mihm was staying with the Lakers and the Celtics got Marcus Banks back?

As I recall, LA got Chucky Atkins also. Very solid player.

I thought Mihm was staying with the Lakers and the Celtics got Marcus Banks back? They (LA) got Jones instead of Banks, but Fox and Payton were the only two LA players sent

7 or 8. The t-wolves take the top spot, with the 3 texas teams filling up 3 of the next 4.

I say they will get a 4-5 seed. You guys underate these guys. Kobe is great, Vlade will feed Kobe. Odom is ganna break out into a star. Grant and George are solid role players. Butler could turn into a star.
