I hate the name, the city, Stern for letting this happen...The NBA has PLENTY of teams and none with many big players on them. The NBA right now is in a mess and I don't see wahy adding another team in a terrible basketball area is going to help. New Orleans is terrible and now Charlotte all over again. Why.

I always root for expansion teams because it's fun to see a crappy team turn good a few years later then everyone joins the bandwagon.

After what we just witnessed in the Olympics, there will be a large influx of foreign players, centers included...now that the "world" has proved they have caught up to us, the young American players should take to heart the fundamentals and start learning to shoot again ...

Do you honestly think that? These kid's didn't watch the Olympics. Playing fundamentaly sound doesn't sell shoes or get endorsments. The Olympics don't matter to these kids. So to think all the sudden these kids are going to learn how to shoot is rediculous.
The world has not caught up to us. That's rediculous. And there won't be a big wave of new foreign players because almost none of them are good enough to play in the NBA. They beat us in the Olympics. Arroyo torched us, he looked like one of best players in the world and he is an average Point Guard at best in the NBA, that proves my point.

The reason the NBA stinks right now is because there are too many teams. Look around the league, these teams have one star player. The NBA needs to detract 5 teams if anything. It just means more bad basketball.

I think its justice for the Charlotteans after what George Shinn put them through. He has to be one of the worst owners in professional sports. I would actually put him right above a used care salesman. He promised Charlotte the moon but delivered nothing. Stern know what he's doing b/c he knows the Carolinas are crazy about Basketball and will support the team if they feel like they have an owner who gives a crap about them. The city totally supported the team for almost 6 six years. They constantly were breaking attendance records. He had a ton of chances to turn the team into a winner but instead chose not to resign players and go on the cheap. He then he the team for ransom and demanded the city build a new arena. The Coliseum is just 15 years old. When the city didn't relent he moved the team!

The people of Charlotte were pissed at Shinn, and by that time they were on their way to New Orleans. It didn't matter what the team did they were not going to back them because of Shinn!! The guy's a damn snake oil salesman.

Ginobili, Stojacovich, Ming, Parker, Ilgauskus, Karelinko, Gasol, Divac, Sabonis, Giricek and I'm sure there are probably 20 I missed so what makes you think they aren't catching up,

It just means more bad basketball. Funny Italy had none and beat our All Star team, it's a game whoever plays better wins...the product the NBA is putting on the floor is diluted only because the skill level (not talent) is declining in our (USA) players...an they are going to get better players elsewhere

Don't worry about it. Most people who don't live around Dallas don't know who he is either. If he ever learns to play defense, he would be a permanent all star! He can score at will!

I'm in Austin, and a Spurs fan, believe me I know who Nowitzki is...and by the way you get used to the 100 degree days, eventually
