Series Preview
The Braves dominated the D'backs in the last series by sweeping them. In the series, Braves pitchers limited them to only 1 run a game. But the D'backs are in the playoff hunt and are going to take advantage of any slip up by the Braves to move them up in the standings.

Luis Gonzalez has had another solid season so far for the D'backs with 26 HRs and a .269 avg.

Marcus Giles has really been heating up lately and hit 3 HRs last game vs. HOU and continues to be a threat

Two simular pitchers were going at it today, but Byrd has struggled at times. But Webb is going for a 10-win season.

Keeping a hot bat, Luis Gonzalez ripped a triple in the 1st with 2 outs and scored when Sexon doubled and the D'backs were on top first.

Then Cintron chugged out a triple as well in the 3rd and Gonzalez came through again with a ground ball to score him.
2-0 ARI End 3rd
As Brandon Webb kept cruising along, Batista gave his team another run in the 4th with a grounder through the hole.
3-0 ARI End 4th
Brandon Webb pitched strong all the way to the 9th and was looking to close out the game only giving up 3 hits so far. But the Braves got two hits and started to threatin, but Alomar's diving play to through out Drew ended it.
