Couch sucks. "I have a sore arm" Good for you Couch, now you'll be able to rest while sitting on your own couch every sunday.

We cut Couch. Wow, all that hype and hoopla over nothing. I always thought Couch was a pussy, I was right.

lay off.......as a packers and kentucky fan i feel that the packers made a mistake.....i takes more than a few weeks to learn the west coast offense....tim couch will still have a good nfl career, maybe the directionless dolphins will pick him up hes way better than feeley and fieldler (sp?)

They really don't need a backup because without Favre they are nothing but run

tim couch would be better for miami than fieldler and feeley...and although brett favre is my favorite player of all time the packers are far from a one man team...since 2000 ahman green has the most rushing yards in that span

I want to point out, that Couch was cut because the Packers felt that Scott McBrien, the undrafted freeagent QB out of Maryland was a better QB, already. I was really pumped for my man Scott. www.packers.com/news/stories/2004/09/03/1/

I need to go check to see if McBrien made the practice squad because he was waived....

It said on ESPN on the Packers Page under transactions for September 6 that QB's Tim Couch and Scott McBrian were released.

yeah, he did make the practice squad.
Which is very similar to making the 53 man roster. A practice squad player can be activated in any given week, if the team needs their services due to injury, for example.
All practice players are waived for about a day even though the coaches will tell them they are still on the team.
There was another article that was in a Milwalkee paper that i couldn't locate earlier that said that McBrien was ahead of Couch according to the Packers QB coach and O-Coordinator.
