So you would rather have a player that is a better leader then puts up better stats?
I would honestly would not care if I had a player on my team that averaged 20,10,5 ...and was the worst leader in the world. Duncan isn't a very vocal. How can you say he is a leader? A TEAM WHO WINS A CHAMPIONSHIP DOESNT WIN IT BASED ON LEADERSHIP, THEY WIN IT BECAUSE OF THE PLAYERS THEY HAVE/HAD. The Timber Wolves over the last 5 years have not had as good of players as the Spurs. Thus, they have not been as succesful as the Spurs .
Its not often you hear and announcer say: "Wow, that team has a great set of leaders, they should win the championship this year."
In order to win a championship, you have to be good first. Then thats were leadership comes in.

KG....he has proven it yr after yr by takin a team full of a bunch of nobodies to the playoffs....TD had David Robinson to help him....i agree davids stats arn't the best but he has the experience that is lacked on the Twolves....KG is best player by far

I never watch the NBA, but I'll take Tim Duncan over any other player in a heartbeat. IMO his personality and leadership is what seperates him from the rest; I wouldn't want an asshole like Iverson on my team.

Bull!!! You cant tell who's a good leader by looking at them. Besides, Duncan never shows any emotion!!!
BESIDES LOOKING AT THERE TEAMS, KG IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA...NO DOUBT!!!! ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE. GARNETT IS QUICKER, A BETTER DRIBBLER, BETTER PASSER, AND CAN SHOOT BETTER. THE ONLY CATEGORY DUNCAN IS BETTER AT IS BLOCKS AND FIELDGOAL %. NOW SHUT UP, AND LOOK AT PLAYOFF STATS, AND GO TO YOUR ROOM AND CRY BECAUSE YOU JUST GOT PROVEN WRONG.

I understand why someone would take Duncan, he's definately either the best or second best player in the League.
But, OMG, name a single thing KG does wrong on the basketball court. And please, please do not say he doesn't perform in the playoffs, Wally has been hurt, Hudson only shoots, he's never had an inside presence.
KG PLAYOFF STATS 02-03(Last Yr)- 27pts, 16rbds, 5ast 01-02(2yrs Ago)- 24pts, 19rbds!!!, 5ast
TD PLAYOFF STATS 02-03- 25pts, 15rbds, 5ast 01-02 28pts, 14rbds, 5ast
You tell me...who doesn't show up in the playoffs?

The Wolves could have won one by now but they keep shooting themselfs in the foot....The Joe Smith deal, Wally's insane contract, KG's cap killing contract, signing aging talent that will not maych any of the top 3 teams in the west, signing Mike Olowokandi over Rasho....
