Richard Seymour is the most complete DE in the NFL.

I have to say Michael Strahan, he always leads the league in sacks, he is the strongest DE I think, he can do everything, there is rarely an Offensive lineman that can block him, he gets a sack every game, nobody can stop him, he is strong, quick, he is the best defensive end in football.

Freeney, he's the only good player on the Colts D-Line so he gets doubled teamed a lot and still gets tons of sacks.

How can it not be Seymour? He is unblockable, explodes off the ball, has great instincts and has a huge winspan. Blocked 10 passes last year and he's only 24.

Where is Javon Kearse? But it's easily Richard Seymour.

Hands down Richard Seymour. He has everything you want and then some in a DE.

the top 4 de's arent even on this list! pat kerney of atl, c grant of n.o, both with seven sacks and 25 + tackles. john abraham, greg ellis? what the f**k? nice list espnsucks. jevon is the most dominant and influential of them all this year so far though.

Jevon? HAHAHA, Kerney and Grant do have the most sacks, but doing 1 thing wont make you the best at your position. Kerney right now is prolly playin the best, but come in its 5 weeks in.

Its gotta be Strahan....year in and year out he is among the league leaders in sacks, and he is also a very consistent run stopper. What makes it more impressive is that he is almost always double teamed.

jevon kearse is the only de in the league that makes o coordinators structure their o to run bootlegs and tosses away from him. the fox crew and the sportscenter crew agree with me, hes dominant and scares the shit out of offenses. he doesnt have the stats because the o is always running away from him. hahahahahahahaha eagle hater, 27-16 remember. their only loss so far, but they have the titans to face next, pretty sure they'll lose that one too.

Sacks are just a small part of being a top DE. Richard Seymour is by far the best.
