yeah i knew about that but i saw him with a #80 seahawks jersey in nfl total access. and earlier today they discussed this on espn and they said largent didn't mind rice wearing his number

I never understood the obsession over numbers. Teams retire to many of them. Just put a jersey up on the rafters, you don't need to block another number.

I was just kiddin about the whole league retirin 84... The Vikes def. will retire it tho. Rice asked for permission to wear 80 and it was granted so he will be in #80.
