He picked a good time to show he can play the game. He'll be a starting QB w/ a nice new contract next year, just not with the bolts.
The Chargers looked GOOOOOOOOD ..........
The Broncos still haven't proven they can run away with this division so the way I'm looking at it.........
Chargers 10-6 Broncos 10-6 Chiefs 8-8 Raiders 4-12

Chargers are one of my fav. teams... Not like top 3, but close and when they picked Eli (going for Rivers) I was sooo pissed off because I knew what Brees was capable of. But I can't really blame them because if I was the Chargers owned I prolly woulda went QB too just because my philosophy is if you don't have a franchise QB you CAN'T pass one up in the draft.

There's rumors Brees might be going to the Packers. I thought the Chargers gave up on Brees too early. They should have given him this year atleast and then if he did back again go after a QB in this draft.

The think is if they sucked this year Marty was gone, they wanted to win as fast as they could any getting an impact QB is prolly the best way to do it. Prolly not the easiest way but the best way if you get the right guy. So I don't blame him for tryin to keep his job, but I never lost faith in Brees even last year when he lost his job because I thought he did good for what kind of players he had around him.

Who would they give up for him tho? I would think maybe Clifton if they didn't sign him long term, but since they did i'm not really sure who they would want to give up for him.

Brees will be a free agent next year, he'll be free to pursue his best interests.

Oh, ouch for the Chargers... They will lose him for nothing, but atleast they may get a shot to do somethin this season and pick right up with it again next season.

I hope the Packers get him but Favre will probably play until he is 37.

I hope the Packers get him but Favre will probably play until he is 37. What's wrong with that? You'd really have Brees than Favre? Favre is the man and is still Top 5.
