The most competitive conference in the nation. This poll should be interesting.

Duke, because they are always good even though they did lose quite a bit from last years team and shaun livinston who skipped duke for pros

You gotta be kidding! There are at least three teams in the ACC that will kick Duke's butt this year! Wake, UNC, and Ga. Tech are the big dogs...UMD is also better than the Blue Devils! Duke will be back next year (if their recruits dont go pro) but for this year they have lost too much to the NBA and just do not have enough for Coach K to work with! Isn't it just frigging wonderful!

Wake and UNC are the 2 best teams in the nation. They will meet in the finals with the Demon Deacons slight favorites and UNC will win by 5. Still got a while, but thats my prediction. I'm ganna go see them 2 play, can't wait.

They may beat them but saying they will get their butts kicked is over doing it of course what do you expect for a UNC fan.

Hey Husker, depends on how you want to define "kicking butt"! Is it just a win, or a 20 point win, or something in between? Duke has my respect and is good enough even in a down year that a win over the Blue Devils of any kind is KICKING BUTT!
The ACC has some tough animals this year...Duke is gonna lose more games than they have in quite a while but they will be interesting games to say the least!

You are right in that they lost a lost a lot to early entry and becuase Livensten skipped for NBA but with Duke and some of the players that they have you know that they will always be competive. Compared to how they usually are this could be a down year but then again you never know what can happend with college bball.

Not all Tar Heel fans hate Duke. I have great respect for K and the program. However, Duhon's graduation and Livingston going pro really delt them a blow! Deng going NBA hurt too and now they are not very deep at all, do not have a proven point guard and JJ Redick will be hard put to score with teams not having to concentrate on Deng and Duhon.
I'm sure they will be pretty good, but as a Heels fan I am much more worried about Wake and Ga.Tech! Both very deep, great guards, and tough inside....man, its gonna be fun!

ACC is sooo tough this year. I dont think anyone will get out of conference without at least a 3-4 losses no matter how good some of the teams are.

I agree...wish the schedule was out. Its gonna be weird with the expansion teams and some of the old rivalries will not be the same. Well, good luck to the Huskers in the upcoming F ball season...when are they gonna get the BB program up to the pigskin level?
