The problem is wether you use college or pro players they just don't have enough time to gel as a team. I would love to see the NCAA champ play in the olympics but I don't see how it would work but I bet Uconn would be doing better than the NBA players are.

I've thought of that too. But by the time the Olympics rolled around those guys would be graduated. or what-not. I think the Young Mens Basketball team could take this olympic team. PS What up Devilbear.

Having the USA players from NBA champs represent the US might work. Detriot would be dominating this year.
Not much here just_matt ? just got back from the beach I was trying to put a gif vid of Luol Deng crossing over a UNC player and leaving him on the floor as my avatar. Have you seen that and do you know what site it is from. I'm hoping I can link straight to it.

Why not they could not do any worse then what the pros have been doing in th world games 2002 and now.
Team USA when it was filled with college kids never got their asses beat as bad as Team USA-pros.
Anyone thinks that it is a bit odd that when Carolina guys are coaching the teams seem to suck? karl in 2002 and now Brown/Roy?

welcome toolbox.
you really don't think it has anything to do with coaching, do you?
look how uninterested the players are.
and when they are in, they would rather to a 360 tomahawk dunk than a lay up.
that is the entire problem with the NBA. they all want to be [glow=blue,2,300]GLOBETROTTERS[/glow]

Toolbox Being a Duke fan I want to agree with your point but I really think it is lack of chemistry and poor attitude from the players. I saw interviews on tuesday and the players were like..it happens, no big deal. Mellow was the worst, I think he is turning into a headcase. McCants would fit in perfectly with some on this team.

Truthfully, I could care less about Olympic baketball, or the Olympics as a whole. I haven't bothered to watch any of it, and I probably won't.

Same here. They did a poll on a radio show in Cincy the other day, and the vast majority of people were rooting fot the Basketball team to lose because their so sick and tired of the egos, and the horrid play in the NBA.

I haven't watched any of it. I'd rather watch re-runs of American Chopper.
