syracuse, uconn, wisconson, illinios, michigan st, arizona all belong ahead of kentucky, seeing how pretty much all of them have never started a game in a kentucky uniform

I think Ku would be included in the top five best benches. I don't know much about the other teams benches, how do they stack up. Anyone have a comment??

I don't think Wake and GT are all that deep. I would put Kentucky and Carolina about even with maybe a slight edge to UNC b/c of experience. UNC picks up depth at the 1, 2, and 5 spots this season. I think we will have 10 or 11 serviceable players this season. Felton, May, McCants, J. Williams, Manuel, M. Williams, Noel, Thomas, Miller, & hopefully Terry and Grant.

KU's bench could be strong and it could be great, so much depends on the young guys. We are so deep with big guys and 2 and 3 position players. Self says the 4 and 5 are going to be big bangers and with the new guys he has 5 and maybe 6 big bangers. The problem is of course, you can only play 5 at a time as Oklahome found out in 88 when they had more bench than KU.

Yeah, and that's tends to f- with team chemistry. I like our team except at the five spot. I hope the news about May slimming down is true. If not, I think we're in for more the same from last year. If not hopefully Grant is healthy enough to play.

Roy does well with a 7 or 8 man rotation so you will be OK. He does good time management and can get a lot out of what he has.. He just can't win the big one.

1 North Carolina 2 Kansas 3 Georgia Tech 4 Wake Forest 5 Kentucky Good. Except for Kentucky and Wake Forest, I would put Arizona, and perhaps Mich. St. in the 4 and 5 spots. UConn still has some talent though. Kentucky and wake are still probably top 10 calibur.

I like Carolina, Maryland and Ga. Tech...
But I really haven't had a chance to evaluate anything outside of the ACC so just take this post for what it's worth...

I think Duke still has a pretty good starting lineup
PG- Dockery G- JJ Redick G- Dan Ewing F- Shavlik Randolph F- Shelden Williams
Plenty of experience, with 4 JR's and a Sr, and all but Dockery have started before.
The biggest problem is the lack of depth, especially on the inside and at the point.

I think Duke has top 10 and maybe top 7 starting lineup. Shavlik and Shelden will become one of the best frontcourts in the nation this season. With Ewing and Redicks good outside game they could be a tough team to beat. Dockery can also play some D, but they need depth to become a top team.

Duke will still be good this year. They will certainly contend in ACC, however I doubt they will make it to the Final 4. Sweet 16 is my prediction as to when they are eliminated from the tourny.
