1. Notre Dame
Hardest schedule every year... They aren't required to play anyone (not in a conference) but they always schedule the hardest teams and get their butts chewed because they lose 4 or 5 games. Any top 10 team with their schedule would lose at least 2 to 3 games.
Coming off of a rebuilding season (year after great season) worth nothing because of NCAA and SEC violations. They will be a tremendous team this year.
Unranked in Coaches' Poll... Colorado and Missouri will be tough games in Lincoln, but traveling to Kansas State and Oklahoma will be huge challenges. If they can win 2 or 3 out of those 4 they could be a top 20 team.
Kansas State at home and Texas and Nebraska away are the three biggest games of the Tigers' season. If they can pull off two wins there (best if they are K-State and Nebraska) they will easily be in the Big 12 Championship and have a shot at the Fiesta Bowl.
5. Boston College
Pittsburgh away will make or break the season for the Eagles. If they win they will easily make a decent bowl. They will probably be a Top 25 team... possibly top 15.
