I think there are too many bowl games now. There are 28 bowl games which means that there are 56 teams that get to go to a bowl game. There are teams that are 7-6 or 6-6 that get to go to a bowl. It used to be that you actually had to have a good team to get to go instead of just have a winning record. There is no honor or prestige going to a bowl game anymore and I think they need to have less bowl games.

Agreed, they should cut it down to around 15 Bowl games.

That sounds good to me, a lot better than it is now.

Well you also have to think the smaller schools have to play big schools and thats where they get some of their loses...I mean yes cut down but you also can't cut them completely out...And even if they do suck Football is Football I watch

Not to mention that most of the lower bowl games, the stadium is even barely full and teams that barely have a winning record dont deserve a bowl game.

Take away their bowls and the crappy teams, along with their dozens and dozens of fans have nothing to look forward to.

I disagree, i like the amount of bowl games we got now. It helps Christmas go by pretty fast and gives you that one last fix of college football before we have to wait till after recruiting and the lonnnnnnnnnnnnngggggg summer.

There are so many that people don't really think of it as an accomplishment.
5 Bowl games.

5 bowl games isnt enough. I dont know even know why we are arguing about the # of bowl games there should be anyway. Bottom line, there has tto be a playoff format

I can undertand that argument. However I personally think there are just enough bowl games right now. I would probably like there to be more of them. That would just mean I would get to watch more football, and there is nothing wrong with that.

There is no way you could have more bowl games or you would have teams that had losing records in bowl games.

At least re-organize them some so we don't get as many mis-matches. Take last year's Tangerine Bowl...NC State, a pretty good team, was playing against Kansas, who had to count a 1-AA win just to get to 6-6. KU had no prayer in that game.

I like the way things are 28 bowl games are just fine by me. If you don't like them don't watch them. SOme programs these lesser bowls are true rewards for having a 7-4, 7-5 or 6-5 seasons when usually they would have a 4-7 record. It's a great reward for all of the hard work the kids go though all year long. There's still something so special about going to a bowl game!
