My pick is OU, they have the returning Heisman trophy winner, their returning nearly all their starters, and they got in the number 1 running back in the country along with alot of other great talent.

It will not be Texas! Why? Because Mack can not win the big one!! He ALWAYS get out coached in big games!!! They have questions about depth at defensive end. Also, the defense is learning a new scheme this year. Who is going to play QB, Mock or Young? Who is going to step up at WR? There are two bright spots on this team however, O-line and RB? I do think that Benson is going to have a good season. That being said, I think it's OU's to lose.

Remains to be seen, but Texas should (as I say every year) should be a better team, and hell if I was in Vegas I would never bet red 5 rolls in a row...so I'm sticking my preverbial neck out and picking TEXAS

Difference in Vegas is that you always have a 50% chance of red. So, you have a 3.125% chance of winning. Texas does not have a 50% chance of winning each game. Probabilities are not additive because each team is different. It does come down to coaching, because the man has talent playing.

If some would have told me they would have raped texas the last 4 years i wouldnt have believed them, but the fact is OU is just a better team. They are similar in talent, but the coaching edge has to go to OU.

Stoops to Arizona, had a little to do with the big collapse at the end last year? and do you think it will affect their defense this year?

I think it might have something to do with their collapse last year. That and the media saying that even if they lose the big 12, their in the champ game. And jason white being hurt didnt help their cause either. We did pick up Bo Peline who helped Nebraska win a bowl game. He should be a good d coordinato.

None of this changes the fact that Brown can't coach in the big game. It's not just OU and Stoops. How many big games did he win in the watered down ACC? O-fer against Florida St, even under the current horrific state of football in Chapel Hill, they managed to beat the Seminoles 41-10 2 years ago.

Actually I'm not really that bitter. I understand that it was the right decision for him professionally. If I were him, I would have done the same thing. However, I did move to Texas back in 1998, and now I live in Austin. What I'm talking about comes from watching him for 5 seasons here and for 10 seasons in North Carolina. His track record speaks for itself! He always gets out coached in the big game! We were happy in Chapel Hill with ten win seasons and an occasional run at the conference title, but that isn't going to fly down here! He has never, ever won a conference championship let alone a national title!
