1. Georgia 2. USC 3. Oklahoma 4. Florida State 5. Miami 6. LSU 7. Texas 8. Michigan 9. Kansas State 10. Clemson 11. Virginia 12. Ohio State 13. Florida 14. Maryland 15. Auburn 16. Tennessee 17. Wisconsin 18. Iowa 19. Georgia Tech 20. Nebraska 21. North Carolina State 22. California 23. Ole Miss 24. Missouri 25. Oklahoma State 26. Oregon 27. Minnesota 28. West Virginia 29. Louisville 30. Virginia Tech 31. South Carolina 32. Purdue 33. Texas A&M 34. Notre Dame 35. Oregon State 36. Arizona State 37. Utah 38. Miami (Ohio) 39. Wake Forest 40. Boston College just out: Penn State, UConn, Memphis, Texas Tech, Washington State, TCU, UCLA, UAB, Alabama, NIU, Arkansas, Washington, Hawaii I posted the above a few weeks ago, after watching VT versus USC today I would likely move VT up and USC down a little. Overall I would say that is a pretty good top 40. Most of my problems are in your top 10. I can understand you ranking LSU #6, but I think the lowest you can really put them is at #4. Georgia should not be #1, until they can prove themselves to be worthy of that, UGA needs some improvement on the O-line and from some skill postions such as WR. Oklahoma should be #1, but SC is probably right where they should have been. I also don't think K-State is top 10 quality, Oklahoma St, probably shouldn't be in the top 25 (I would put them right around #40). Overall it is a good list.

Well, I do believe that Georgia is the best team in college football, but I'm sure your SEC knowledge is greater than mine, so i have to respect your opinion on Georgia and LSU. Frankly, my 1-7 rankings were REAL tight when i made up these rankings almost a month ago now. Here are my changes, to be honest I'm simply taking your advice by moving Okie State down a few... 1. Georgia 2. Oklahoma 3. Florida State 4. LSU 5. Miami 6. Texas 7. USC 8. Michigan 9. Kansas State 10. Clemson 11. Virginia 12. Ohio State 13. Florida 14. Maryland 15. Auburn 16. Tennessee 17. Oklahoma State 31. South Carolina 32. Purdue 33. Notre Dame 34. Arizona State 35. Oregon State 36. Wake Forest 37. Miami (Ohio) 38. Washington State 39. Northern Illinois 40. Memphis just out: Penn State, UConn, Texas Tech, TCU, UCLA, UAB, Alabama, Arkansas, Washington, Hawaii, Boston College, Texas A&M, and New Mexico

Looks good except you have Utah underrated and despite what people think about USC they are still top 3.

Only one of many strange calls. Watching that game proved to me that SC is overrated, even though this was only the first game of the year. SC did not play like the #1 team in the country. Geaux Tigers....Bring on Oregon State. If Oregon St. had a kicker, it would have cost LSU big time and still might in the rankings

If Oregon St. had a kicker, it would have cost LSU big time and still might in the rankings Again.....LSU missed some opportunities as well. 2 missed FGs. 1 TD called back. and we did not get a call for a safety at the end of the game. O. ST. return man stepped on the goal line and then went back into the end zone. That should have made it 17-15 LSU.

Fullforce, Any reason Nebraska isnt in your new poll?? They went from #20 to not in top 40. Yeah i forgot. My fault. I was at my parents house after coming back from the Maryland-NIU game. I was using their computer, and my father's font settings are extremely large, so it threw a couple things off. I'll go back and put Nebraska where they belong.
