marbury is the one of the best ballers in the league next to iverson, he can get past anybody he wants to

i don't see how this works out for the suns, they got a bunch of scrub point guards, and help at the one position they don't need help with, with amare stoudemire already there at power forward

that's a garbage trade, why would want to get rid of marbury? he's one of the best point guards in the league

How do you keep guys from going to the paint? You have perimeter defenders for that very reason!..Wallace isn't a very good ball defender and like Danny Fortson just swings back and forth in the paint swatting shots and grabbing bricks....Thats part of the reason he gets so many rebounds because he waits for a guy to miss....Unlike Tim Duncan wh plays solid defense and gets 12 a game almost every game. like i said, unless he's shutting down every man he plays to like 10 points a game and get's like 3 steals a game, the post man will affect the game the most with his defense and that's all that matters, i just think we have different opinions on what should be the criteria for the award, i think it should be who affects the entire team the most with his defense, and you think it should be who shust down one player with his defense, it's as simple as that

Exactly. Wing players can't dominte? BS. Ron Artest can shut down Kobe/Tracy with no trouble...But thats not domination? Domination for Ben Wallace is his rebound and block numbers. sue artest can shut down kobe and keep him to 15-20 points compared to his usual 30, but posts can keep a whole team from scoring 110 to about 80 if they can change the other teams shot and keep them out of the paint, that's what i'm talking about, not just shutting down one player but shutting down a whole team

i don't believe in giving the award to wing men unless it's really obvious because they can't dominate games like the postmen can

I still think Big Ben is better because he has the heighth advantage and blocks a lot more shots, and he steals around the same amount of balls as Artest. Not to take anything away from Artest, but I think Ben Wallace is better. that's what i was thinking too

MVP definition- Most Valuable Player Valuable definition- Something of meaning The MVP IS NOT FOR THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE. If it was, it would be called the, "Best Player Award." Holy shit. If you take Jermaine off his team, and KG off his, the Wolves would not doubt beat them. Then you put them back on each others team, I think it would be a better game than before. Although the Wolves would still probably win. IMO, Garnett is a better player, but Jermaine is more VALUABLE. Which is directly what the award call for. i don't even know how to respond to that, without kg the wolves are nothing, without oneal the pacers are nothing, both teams have pretty much the same record but kg is a ton of a lot better and more valuable to his team than oneal is, you can also think of it like this, who is more of a threat with the game on the line or who can get his team out of a rut when they are playing bad, kg kg kg, oneal's a great player but he cannot carry that team, kg can carry his, that's my definition of mvp

Im gonna go with Jermaine....they are much improved and hes bein a monster this year. it's not even close, jermaine's putting up some pretty nice stats, but they aren't even close to what kg is putting up, and the wolves aren't that far behind the pacers record wise either

Jason always fricken dunks off both feet for some stupid reason, bottom line is everything has been done. it's not that everything's been done, there's just no good dunkers in the contest. vince carter made up all new stuff when everybody was saying it had all been done, the problem isn't making new dunks, the problem is getting some real dunkers

i still think that all european players are a major hit and miss, and detroit had the chance to get carmelo who i guarentee will be better than darko even if darko ends up being as good as he is supposed to

you're right, even if darko turns out to be a great hall of fame player which i don't believe he will, carmelo is still going to be better
