Oddly enough there was a big drop off in the rating after Nebraska. This is how it was:
28. Nebraska---------(68.22) 29. Alabama----------(64.18)
This was the 2nd biggest gap between any two div 1A teams.

I still dont understand how Virginia jumped 8 spots since last poll after beating North Carolina and Purdue jumping up 15 spots after beating Ball State?? Can you please explain that? I can't explain it. That was just the way the numbers came out. Just so you know Nebraska was #28.

Margin of victory shouldnt be included because it makes teams that play nobody a lot higher than they should be. ie Purdue and Virginia. I guess I left this out earlier. Margin of victory only applies when playing a team in my top 40. Margin of Loss however applies for all 117 DIV 1A teams and 1AA.

How does your formula work? My formula includes: -AP Poll Rankings -Coaches Poll Rankings -My own rankings -My SOS rankings -Quality Wins (against Top 25 teams) -Margin of Victory -Margin of Loss All of the ratings are set to a 100.00 point scale. I won't go into all the percentages because that would take me a while. I will however start posting my rating numbers.

Purdue, Viginia and Auburn are too high. Purdue will win the BIG 10 Virginia will challenge for the ACC Auburn will give LSU a fight this week All of these rankings were based on my own formula. I just ranked them based on the numbers. Either way this will change once the new polls come out, they play a part in my formula. So I will repost the new top 25 once that happens.

I am glad you noticed that. I based all of this off of my own little BCS formula. I had overlooked Iowa. And I somehow screwed up WVU, and South Carolina too. I went ahead and made the changes. Iowa is #15, WVU #21, and S. Carolina is no longer ranked. Sorry about that.

Iowa----27 Ari. St.--24 in OT.
Heat will play a factor, but Arizona State will not be able to beat the Iowa defense.

Good point TCU If it was a certain year I even have to go against my Irish and say the 2001 Miami team that just destroyed every one... Just for a comparison...I put all of the NCs over the last 10 years through my formula. 94'--Nebraska--------(91.02) 95'--Nebraska--------(97.92) 96'--Florida------------(91.09) 97'--Nebraska--------(92.47) 97'--Michigan----------(92.00) 98'--Tennessee-------(93.17) 99'--Florida State-----(93.36) 00'--Oklahoma---------(92.89) 01'--Miami---------------(96.85) 02'--Ohio State---------(91.08) 03'--LSU-----------------(91.74) 03'--USC-----------------(90.97)

You do realize that every school's team is a different team each year, right? Therefore, each school should have a year next to it if you want this to be a question of which TEAM is best. Or, you could change the question to "Which school has had the best team the most in NCAA Football history?" and it would apply to your choices. In that case maybe 95' Nebraska
