LSU should be sending some money to the Oregon State kicker for missing 3 extra points. Pitiful and inexusable no matter how bad the weather is you should shouldnt miss the extra points

[glow=red,2,300]THAT GAME SHOULD HAVE NOT GONE INTO OVER TIME.[/glow]
Some people will say that LSU was lucky to win the game because the OSU place kicker missed three PAT's, but I don't see it that way. The opposite could be said because OSU got a cheap touchdown on the Skyler Green fumble, LSU had a touchdown called back because of a penalty, and late in the game after the touchdown pass to Bowe the [glow=red,2,300]OSU kick returner's foot touched down on the goal line, he then went back into the end zone, on what should have been a safety for LSU that would have given LSU a 17-15 lead. [/glow] First of all its not a cheap touchdown when you get a turnover and capitalize it. That happens all the time. And i have no idea what that last statement meant, if your foot touches the goaline it doesnt mean your down. Also wouldnt have been a touchback? And your right about it not going into OT, Oregon State should have won in regulatoin.

I am sorry soonerfan, but they can not come out of the end zone and then go back in. It is a safety and LSU should have been awarded the 2 points that go along with it. LSU should have won the game 17-15 in regulation.
Strange that you mention that. I take it you did not notice the other OSU player standing just on the other side of the goal line frantically motioning for him to take a knee. However the return man steped on the line (which is considered coming out of the end zone), and then went back into the end zone and took a knee. You can not do that. THAT IS A SAFETY. Had the ref noticed that LSU would have won 17-15 in regulation. Either way we got the win. Just so you know soonerfan, I was at the game sitting just along that goal line. And what they apparently did not show you on TV was 2 of the refs arguing over that incident for about a minute, though we all know now that nothing came of it. But from where I sat, he clearly had stepped on the goal line, and it clearly shows that in the replays I have seen since I got home.

I could not believe how OSU let them back in so easily. Why are they playing that loose of zone. At least play tight zone or man for crying out loud! Lets face it everyone. OSU was getting tired toward the end. Where as LSU still had fight left in them. The wet field really hurt LSU, it leveled the playing field. Had the field been dry during the game, I guarentee we would not be having this conversation. The key to LSUs game is speed, speed, speed. Without that we are only a good football team, Oregon State proved that. I must commend the beavers for playing a great game. Ill just wait for this one to be on ESPN classic. But lets not forget everyone, LSU also had plenty of chances to score. LSU obviously had some difficulty with the inexperienced QBs. But our new WR Dwayne Bowe will be great this year, once the QBs can get the ball to him. LSU has some serious work to do, but I trust that Saban will have them ready for conference play. Fortunatley we have Arkansas State to beat up on this week. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!

I just like how every stadium referred to as Death Valley had an OT game, and the Tigers won both.
Also, neither of them lived up to their billings, and need to work on a few things (CU run defense, LSU qb).

You could also blame the guy who scored who didn't give the ball back for the game. The kicker hit the crossbar and if he was 5 yards closer he could made it in.

No I can't, but geometry can. But the ball was placed at the 8 yard line due to the delay of game penalty. The kicker kicked the ball and hit the crossbar. If there was no delay of game penalty and the kicker kicked it at the 3 at the same angle, it would have been in

True, had he kicked the exact same kick. However, he missed 2 others from the 3, so it's not like he was spectacular. I would call him worse than Northwestern's kicker, he only missed 5 FGs. Maybe nobody recruited kickers last year.

And either way, he should have still made the kick.

I don't think it's really their fault for the guy running off the field with the football

I don't think it's really their fault for the guy running off the field with the football Did he run off the field with the football? YES Was he on the Oregon State team? YES Seems to me like it was their fault, but that was not what I was refering to in my last post. I was tlking about the delay of game.
