Suns send Starbury and Penny Hardaway to Knicks for McDyess, Ward, Eisley, Lampe, money, and draft picks. I think it will end up being a good trade for both teams.

that's a garbage trade, why would want to get rid of marbury? he's one of the best point guards in the league

I absolutely love this deal for the Knicks. They were already my favorite team out of the east but with the edition of Stephon I just got nothing but love for this team. They now have probably the best scoring backcourt it the league with him and Allan Houston. I think Knicks rally the second part of the season and get anywhere from the 5-7 seed and will upset a lot of teams in the playoffs. I am so glad they got rid of McDyess and now Kurt Thomas can go back to starting on a regular basis which he deserves to do. With Penny coming off the bench in New York I am really thinking this team will start heating it up. Mutumbo, Thomas, Van Horn, Houston and Marbury is probably one of the most talented starting 5 in the east. I am so happy for the Knicks and so glad that they made this move, good luck Knicks!

i don't see how this works out for the suns, they got a bunch of scrub point guards, and help at the one position they don't need help with, with amare stoudemire already there at power forward

Isnt Amare on the IL? Maybe that's why they got McDyess for him to fill in while Amare is injured, but the question is who is gunna start when Amare gets back? Or maybe the Suns are looking towards the future, they do get 2 first round draft picks and also some cash, and they also get Lampe who is another young player. But the I still think the Knicks got the better deal with Marbury, I watched him all the time way back when he was in Minny and he is great.

Marbury is the best player at driving to the basket, period. Iverson drives to the basket a lot, but a lot of times when he drives he pulls up for the short jumper instead. Marbury never takes that short jumper he drives in on any defense and goes to the hoop or else he takes the outside shots but you never really see him poppin and shooting when he drives in the lane. I cant wait to watch his game on TNT on Thursday it will be a lot of fun to see him in a Knicks uni.

Marbury like AI is a streetballer thats the reason they can drive so well cause you don't sit n shoot 3's in streetball. Also, it is now official the Arizona ( the state ) bball team aka Pheonix has a better QB ( Charlie Ward ) then the Cardinals ( Josh McCown ), just thought that would be sumthin funny to add on.

Marbury is the best player at driving to the basket, period. i'm not just talking up driving in for layins, i'm talking about crossing over anybody they want and getting any kind of shot they want, AI is better at that, he is also a lot tougher than marbury, which makes him an even better player

This just dawned on me... Phoenix just gained a ton of cap room by this trade. Kobe Bryant is a free agent next year.

You don't make that kind of move for a short term injury. Right away last night Leandrinho Barbosa gets 27 in his first start.
There has to be a reason the Suns traded him for the shit tey got in return.
