gotta give the edge to the Heels...
Amazingly, they're the more experienced team coming into this match-up...
If they have any pride, they should beat UK after taking Whoopins for the past two years...
Comments?...concerns?...questions?

i tend to agree. UNC should beat UK and their freshmen. but, one could argue that UNC's talent should have beaten UK last year too.
Will McWonts be a head case this year?
the answer to that question may answer lots more questions about this UNC team.

Will McWonts be a head case this year? the answer to that question may answer lots more questions about this UNC team. I'm expecting McCants to have a national POY type year...I think he and Sean May are going to be a deadly 1-2 combination...and with Felton running the show, they're going to be a tough team to beat this season... I think N.C. State is going to be a lot better than people think...They have the former point guard from G-Town who wasn't too shabby...he was a shooting guard but they moved him to the 1... Gonna be pretty interesting on Tobacco Road this year...

My heart goes with UK, but my head goes, this year only, to UNC. At the Deandome, 5 starters returning, and it is early in the season for a UK team that will be a young one. Tubby likes the wins early (who doesn't), but doesn't get his teams ready that way. Play this game again in March (which may happen) and it's a totally different story. If UK wins this one, the crowing will be something awful. 5 wins in a row, the 5th against the "great starting five" and in NC? It could take years to live down for you 'Heels fans.

if you take a look at mccants after his sitdown with roy after the game, he averaged 23 pts a game the rest of the season, he had 5 that game, he is not a headcase, stop letting duke fans and idiots from espn tell you he is, if he was roy would have told him to go pro.
unc returns every player, with most being improved, may is in shape and dominated on the us junior team, felton passed up the team to stay home and work on his jumper(his only flaw) and mccants should come out strong after hopefully being humbled, manuel has been working with felton and both have improved jumpers, jawad has been a beast in the weight room and noel is finally fully healthy after breaking his wrist. the biggest problem with last years team was depth at pg and in the frontcourt, both were solved by bringing in q thomas and wes miller in the backcourt and marvin williams and a finally(i hope) healthy damien grant in the frontcourt(i heard so much talk about the "uk 7 footers" im gonna talk about unc's)
so really, i wouldnt talk shit about carolina in the offseason, especially after you lost 3 starters

I like our chances this year, but these guys always seem to disappoint somehow. I want to reserve final judgment until I see a few games. Especially the Maui Invitational. I hope we get another shot at Texas. It has been hell down here since the NCAA's!

what happened on Kelvin Sampson's international team this year? the team voted McCants off because he wasn't a team player. that was this summer. yeah, he still has a problem. but UNC's talent should be enough to overcome it. he'll be a soap opera in the NBA.
