if writers can put past biases aside, something most members of the funkbus crew cannot, he should be the frontrunner along with wayne simien

I think McCants has to lose it, right now I say he is way ahead right now of everyone else.

Lawrence Roberts will likely desrve it, though I see it going to a guard in the ACC, prolly on whichever team wins the ACC regular season.
Also, in all the games of McCants' I've watched he usually seems to me to be the third best player on his own team. I think he is well overrated because of his scoring numbers.

Someone mentioned Simien....I think he will have a monster year but he won't be the best player at Kansas. That will be JR Giddens and he will be POY while leading Kansas to the NC!!

McCants probably gets it, but I think he's the most valuable player on the team. I think that award go to Felton b/c everything starts with him offense and defense! I don't know why but I think Paul has a reasonably good chance if WF wins the ACC! I really like that kid!

not to be a total homer here, but I think Hakim Warrick has a really good shot of POY honors, and you all know it.

i have nothing but total repsect for the tarheels, yet I can't go there with McCants.
I will agree that he has the potential to be POY, but he still has problems that were evident on the US junior team this past summer.
my vote goes to Roberts at Mississippi State.

Well, I think we've listed the 4 odds-on favorites in this thread. Brilliant, aren't we?

I vote for Robin Roberts as the best looking sportscaster who is related to a possible POY.

I vote for Robin Roberts as the best looking sportscaster who is related to a possible POY. Bills, I hate to break this to you, and it might not/should not even play into your opinion, but Robin used to be a local sportscaster for an affiliate in Altanta. She "plays for the other team," if you catch my drift. Still a great sportscaster and attractive, mind you. Just a FYI.
