Then why post if you don't care. Must be nice to own NBC though. Wish my team could go .500 and be guaranteed a decent bowl, or 10 wins and be guaranteed a BCS bowl.

with the schedule they play if they win 10 they deserve a bcs game, take one look at their schedule, 8 wins this year would be a miracle tho

Yeah, if they win 10 they deserve some credit. But, noticing who mentioned that first, if Clemson wins 10 they deserve a BCS game as well, their schedule is more difficult than ND's this year.

I stated in another thread i tthink Clemson has the hardest schedule of any contender in the nation.
Well, in addition to games at Miami and at FSU they also have Maryland, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, South Carolina and NCState at home than Virginia and Texas A&M on the road.
They actually don't play Va Tech, but Va Tech's the 8th best team in the ACC anyway.

Well, contender as in, contending to be a top 25 team.
but yes, ND does have one of the hardest schedules in the nation.

Notre Dame will never contend for another title, and it isn't any of thier fault.
They have refused to lower their admission standards to let people who can barely read into school to play football. They don't have that problem at Miami, Florida State, Florida, etc.

Did you ever see Julius Jones? I wouldn't call him a stunning bastion of Notre Dame Higher Standards. Also, that isn't the entire problem. There are plenty of smart people who just don't want to go to Notre Dame. Craig Krenzel could have cut it there. He had like a 4.0 in Molecular Biology.

Look at the coaches ND has had lately. Bob Davie, who was terrible (I did enjoy watching ND crash during his tenure), and Ty, who never won anyhting at Stanford. What do you expect??

ND has a good season every now and then. This will not be one of them. I definitly agree with the assesment that ND will no longer be competing for NCs. They simply no longer have the talent, and as of late do not have the coaching.

My statement was in reference to years where ND didn't have spectacular schedules but always got 1 Jan or better bowls because they are Notre Dame. I agree they had some tradition, but they aren't going to continue it with the way the sport is going.
