I was impressed my the way Nebraska started out and played for the first 25 minutes. The last 5 min they didnt play very well but still ended the half with a 42-3 lead and almost 400 total yards with about half on them in the air. I know it was just Western Illinois but it still shows promise that the offense is going to be a lot better than it has been.

Yeah surprising to see their offense do that well even though it was only a cupcake team that they played.

It was great seeing our offense being more than one-dimensional for the first time in a long time. I think we ended up with about 580 total yards even with our offense play terrible in 2nd half except for first drive. Our turnovers were a huge problem with interceptions and our special teams on kickoff and punt returns were terrible with a lot of drops and turnovers.

What are these Western Illinois people thinking. They play LSU last year, and now they play Nebraska. They must enjoy losing to DIV-1 teams. Although I guess they have been consistantly a solid 1-AA program, and were great last year. It's exposure for their team, good or bad it's exposure.

Playing top teams leads to exposure and the more exposure your team can get the more likely they will be able to get better recruits.

Plus it gives them that shot at a huge upset. D**n you UNC. William & Mary please learn to finish a game. I would have loved to have seen W&M upset the all powerful UNC football team . Oh well, it was still a terrible showing for North Carolina.

How pitiful can you be for a Div 1 team to almost lose to William and Mary? Maybe UNC should cut the football program and just stick to basketball.

Hey, that's not funny. Here at ETSU (medical school), the undergraduate cut football to play basketball only. Not cool.

I'm not. Apparently I come off as more serious than I try. Maybe italics would have worked. I wasn't saying you weren't cool, that losing the football team was (although they hadn't won a game all year, and sucked pretty regularly).

No problem bud, I was just joking around cause most teams are either a lot better at basketball or football and not both.

We were D-1A basketball, made the NCAA tourney 3 years running.
D-1AA football, and we really sucked. Still sucks to lose the team though, you can't tailgate basketball, or highschool games either.
