Big East this year is definitely weaker than C-USA and Mountain West, maybe even weaker than the WAC.
Starting with the 2005 season, I think the Big East will be right even with the Mountain West. If one doesn't get an automatic bid, the other shouldn't either.

Overall the conference is just not nearly as strong as the other BCS conferences and wont get any better for next year losing BC and getting 3 average at best teams coming in.

Oh, I think the conference will get a little better with the addition of Cincy, South Florida and, most importantly, Louisville. Just not a lot better.

Better than it is right now, yes, bust still a huge dropoff of what it was last year with Miami and VT.

I would not say the rest are all "creampuffs" Pitt is in the Big East, did you think they were "creampuffs"? I'd put Pitt in that category. The only difference between them and Syracuse this year is that Syracuse has a real home field advantage, Pitt doesn't. I'd say Pitt is likely the 4th or 5th team in the Big East this year 1. WVU 2. BC 3. UConn 4. Pitt 5. Cuse 6. Temple 7. Rutgers

I'd say they're about No. 2, behind West Virginia. But then, I've not watched much of the Big Least, and I'm biased in favor of Pitt.

The bottom line is that the Big LEast is not deserving of a BCS bid!

And MAYBE even the WAC. No, actually, the Big East has enough strong middle-of-the-pack teams, whereas the WAC has two at the top and everyone else at the bottom, so I guess the Big East is better than the WAC. But not by much.
