Did this week show us how big home field advantage really is early in the season?
WVU at home beat Maryland A&M beat Clemson Auburn beat LSU Tennessee beat Florida Arizona State beat Iowa UNC beat Georgia Texh BC beat UConn Iowa State beat Northern Illinois Kentucky beat Indiana Texas Tech beat TCU Syracuse beat Cincinatti Oregon State beat New Mexico New Mexico State beat Troy Rice beat Hawaii
The only games were a decent team lost at home this week were:
Wisconsin at Arizona Ohio State at NCState UCLA at Washington Minnesota at Colorado State
all of those teams were favored.
It's interesting data.

Homefield is ALWAYS an advantage in EVERY sport. Early prolly even more because teams aren't playing as a unit as well as they will later. College is really important for homefield because a lot of the players can't handle the pressure like pro's can so some players can break down in elite teams atmosphere's.

Tech didn't beat us because of home field advantage.
Tech beat us because we forgot to come out of the locker room and play a second half.
But you're right, home field advantages are often critical. That's the No. 1 reason why I'm picking Boise to win the WAC and not Fresno (since FSU plays BSU on the blue).
