Me sitting in my computer chair, I would have to say I would. I would look at the medal and know I really wasn't the best. lol, i have no clue what the medal situation is but if it were me and i won a gold medal i wouldn't care if it was by mistake as long as i won it, why should he give it back or feel guilty about it?

You have no soul. That Korean guy worked so hard, for years to win, and he lost because of an error. And that jerk Hamm won't give it to him because his precious pride might be hurt? Where's the sportsmanship? Do whats right.

WTF? why are you taking it so personally? i'm sure it will end up being that the korean gets a gold along with hamm, but i'm just saying that if i were hamm i wouldn't feel bad about someone elses mistake, it's not his fault

ok, being a gymnast for 10 years, I can seriously laugh in the face of those of you who do not claim them as athletes or as a sport. Most of you couldnt hold yourslef up on the bars for 5 seconds let alone swing and do hand releases.
As for the medal controversy it doesnt look like the IOC is going to allow both men to have the medal. Matt is probably right in the fact that if he gave it up it would be a paparrazi's dream come true. Look at it this way.. yes it was a score error that cost the South Korean his medal but it happens in every sport.... the foul called in the Championship of the NCAA that cost the team the game and upon reviewing the tapes they noticed it wasnt a foul, so should the champions give back the trophy? NO most of america would throw a huge drunken fit! There is no difference here and if I were Paul Hamm and everyone was being that rude and disgusting to me, I would keep it out of spite!

I agree that stuff is really hard. I was rock climbin once and the gymastic stuff is at the same place and me and my friends were the only ones there and the guy that was the owner of it said we could do some of the stuff. That stuff is 100x harder then it looks, but also I guess doin stuff for the 1st time is never easy. Either way you def. hafta fit to do some of the stuff they do.

He didn't deserve the medal. He should be a man and give it to the guy who won. If Hamm had lost and the Korean got it he would be pissed and want it back.... we're still waiting for Roy Jones Jr. (and I think it was S. Korean he beat, but got screwed by the judges) and The '72 Olympic BBall team to get theirs ...as they got hosed as well

I dont think he should have to give back the medal. Lets put it this way, if you won a medal and found later the judges screwed up, would you give it up? I think I would... I wouldn't want a gold medal just to say I have a gold medal...I'd much rather earn it...

I am about sick to death of gymnastics. Thank God they are finally over. Why they even broadcast what went on last night is beyond me. No competition and not much showmanship. Anyway, Tim Daggett did show the Koreans routine that was in question and did point out that the Korean did 4 "holds" when you are not allowed to do more than 3. There is an automatic deduction of .2 for doint 4, so the results would have been the same. Plus did you see in the individual events the Korean did terrible, so leave the results as they are. IMO

Gymnastics is an "Activity", not a sport... My reasoning is that there's no way to determine a winner...If I don't like SciFan's country that he represents, or I dislike his haircut or outfit, I may score him low...too much human error comes into play...

Rather personal too. Depending on your definition of "it".
