...would you still want the Gold Medal knowing that you actually didn't earn it?

i would still want it, its not Hamm's fault the judges f**ked up.
The US is proposing that a gold be awarded to the south korean also.

I'm not into gay guys dancing around like ferries, so I really don't know the whole story behind this thing. But, why give it back if it wasn't his mistake?

I agree with him not having to give it back... But if I were in his shoes, everytime I looked at that medal I'd be thinking, "I won this medal because someone couldn't add/subtract properly."

[/img] If you were in his shoes, you'd wonder why your ass hurts....... I see your point though, if he had any conciousness he wouldn't be able to live with it.

I'm not into gay guys dancing around like ferries, so I really don't know the whole story behind this thing. Why are you so stupid, Coop? I can't stop laughing at this... I was forced to watch gymnastics while hanging out with the in-laws this past weekend...I missed Hamm fall onto the judges' table...I heard it was quite hilarious... To the gentleman that chimed in on the convo... I agree with gymnasts being athletes, but I disagree with gymnastics being a sport...The way the winner is determined leaves a lot to be desired....

I would give it up. He would come out looking like a Hero. Best thing he could do for his Image. It would be a PR Bonanza. Besides. the other guy beat him. I would give it up. The Actual Medal is not what they want to win... It's being the best. He will always be second best. I don't think Hamm would be "paying" for the judges (or score addres) mistake. He won it by mistake.

In the first place, the judges are not allowed to review the replays, which they did. However, if you are going to review the tape, they also found an error in the performance which was not counted against him. If you ad the one mistake and take off the other mistake Hamm is still the gold medal winner. It would however make the Koreans trade places, so let them trade medals and everything is fine.

He didn't deserve the medal. He should be a man and give it to the guy who won. If Hamm had lost and the Korean got it he would be pissed and want it back....

I dont think he should have to give back the medal. Lets put it this way, if you won a medal and found later the judges screwed up, would you give it up?

That's impossible to judge. Hamm should be a man and give it to the winner.

Me sitting in my computer chair, I would have to say I would. I would look at the medal and know I really wasn't the best.
