why cant the mavs play defense, i dont understand it, defense is not that hard, the mavs make it look like it is. its frustrating as a fan to see the lackluster performance on that end of the floor.

The Mavs only have players that can score.

They have to much offensive skills to go around and not enough defensive.

Antoine Walker has ruined the team.

Defense is one of the hardest things to teach a team but shooting is one of the easiest. Thats why I would rather have a defensive minded team that I could teach to play offense rather than the other way around.
Lafrentz was a defensive guy that could score..they need him back.

The Mavs should never traded Nick Van Exel and should have kept Raja Bell, brought in a couple role players known for defense instead of trading for Jamison and Walker. The Mavs already had great offensive players that can score but lack mainly on defense, the run and gun will always get stunned by the zone defense teams that can defend. Brady needs to bulk up in weight with new muscle plus stay healthy because at times he can really make an impact in the game at '7-"6 he should. Edwardo Najera also is really missed on this team mfor his energy and efforts on defense and on the boards, hopefully he will be available come the playoffs.

Are you kidding me? He blocked some shots and thats it...Hell he isn't playing well in Boston and is the same player he was as a rookie.
