Spud Webb in the 1986 Dunk Contest. A 5-7 man walking away with the Slam Dunk title? In the most impressive of his dunks, Spud cocked the ball at his ankles en route to a sick reverse jam. Sure, it's possible to dunk over a 7-2 guy. But to completely hurdle him on the way to the hoop? Are you kidding? Vince Carter, you are amazing. John Starks over MJ and S. Pipp With this dunk, the Knicks were able to defeat the defending champions.

Vince didn't fly over him, Fred Weis bent his head and neck down.

John Starks...the only man to ever catch Jordan in a highlight...(Did you know he was only 6'3"? he was listed at 6'5" but he said in an interview with Ahmad Rashad that he was only 6'3"...)
Then Iverson broke Jordan's ankles a few years later...

Vince Carter's dunk in the Olympics when he hurdled the 7-foot dude was hands down the craziest dunk ever. I mean, the guy was 7'2", and whether he ducked his head or whatever, it doesn't matter, Vince flew over him like he wasn't even there. AND, this was in competition, not a contest, where you can pretty much do whatever you want.

DC, I am surprised you didn't mention Chocolate Thunder, the man who made dunking popular. He named every dunk. Wasn't his name Darrel Dawkins, one of the first to play right out of high school. My favorite dunk is when Tony Gonzales dunks the football over the goal posts after scoring.
