Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are two of the most dispicable people on this planet. They use actual victims of racism and discrimination in an effort to make themselves money and get themselves on TV. If they can't find racism or discrimination, they create it. Jackson and Sharpton promote racial divide, that is the only way they can stay in business.

and dc, they show african americans because they are sick of being portrayed as racist(much like your attack post) despite bush appointing rice, powell and an african american secretary of education whose name escapes me we are a diverse party, just stereotypes restrain the mainstream from seeing it, and i think arnolds speech showed how the diversity can coexist, i thought it was going to be a terrible speech, but i thought it was actually incredible Don't think I'm in bed with the Democrats...because instead of calling me N*gger to my face like the Republicans, they just call me N*gger behind my back... I just vote for the lesser of two evils... Felton, the Republican Party is not diverse...you should be ashamed to even repeat such a lie... They parade these stupid Black people around the stage and tell them that they're a part of them. Then you have these dumb ass Black preachers who endorse them because G.W. may mention something about God in one of his speaches. How they love God...As if Democrats don't love God...WTF...?!?!? I started playing for my church when I was little...went to Bible Study...involved in the tutoring program...you name the service, I was there...But the God that I know, never said it was OK to hate someone because they're homosexual...or because they're Muslim...or Jewish...but there are a whole lot of Christians that would have you believe that... George W. Bush appointed Black people that are Uncle Tom's...and the bulk of the Black community hates them...The Republican party loves when they have stupid Black people standing up there saying that white people are great and the reason that Blacks haven't made it is because they're lazy and stupid and haven't tried...We don't care much for Clarence either... But what these dumb ass Black people don't understand is that a whole lot of Black people were killed and had to sacrifice in order for them to get to where they are...the reason that they made it was because of opportunity...not everybody was given the same opportunity... My father couldn't attend UNC Chapel Hill...but he made sure that his children could... What steroetypes? Trent Lott? Jesse Helms? Ronald Reagan? Strom Thurmond? Jesse Helms supported research to prove that White people were superior in intelligence to all other races. Especially Black people...Is that diversity? Trent Lott stated that this country would have been a lot better off if Strom Thurmond would have been elected president. Strom was running on a segregation platform. Diversity? Strom Thurmond raped a teenage Black housekeeper. I've heard no Republican speak ill of Strom. Is this the diversity you're talking about? These are the people that you praise in your posts and that speakers at the RNC praise in their speaches...But if you check their voting records, they are very anti-Black... Not all Republicans hate Black people...but there sure are enough that do...

Hey DC!
I never really watch the national political conventions anymore as they are mostly theatre....A lot of what you point out is true (for both parties in fact). I've been a Republican for economic reasons most of my life, but my family has always been involved in social justice. The young preacher in training is just the latest in a long line of Poleon troublemakers. Don't let it get to you because you know that whoever wins, they will do something different than they said during the campaign anyway. However, Vote....Vote for what you think is right.

dee cee. You have a lot of hate and animosity built up and there may be good reason, but let's try to look without preconcieved notions. The biggest predjudice in the US right now is against God and Christian Values. I think that you are not against God and Christian values, but the people who are (secularists) are overwhelmingly democrates. Now, does that make all democrates evil. No. You point out some republicans which may have said something insensitive or done something that would classify them an racists, but you can't then say republicans are racists. Let's look at prolife. Are you allowed to be prolife and be a democrate. Evidently not. Arnold is pro choice, but is accepted wildly by republicans. As arnold said, you do not have to agree with all parts of the republican platform to be a republican. When did a pro lifer ever speak before the DNC??? N Now, some of the things you mentioned I cannot comment on because I am simply not aware enough of the facts to dispute what you say, however I will say that the democrates have had the black vote in their hip pocket for 50 years and have really done nothing but encourage the majority to stay in poverty. Lastly, what is wrong with having people who want to live here speak english??? There's nothing wrong with having people want to speak English...but when you try to tell them that they need to leave their culture behind and to pick up yours, I have a problem with that... I'm all for Christian values...I'm a Christian...been working harder to become a better one... But I have a problem with people that will do wicked things and then use the name of God to justify their evilness...(Manifest Destiny) I have a problem with these Black preachers that will tell their congregations that they need to donate more money so that they can build a bigger and nicer church. Most of these people are barely making ends meet but these crooked ass preachers who call themselves a messenger from God can actually stand in that pulpit with Thousand-Dollar suits and tell his members that "Y'all haven't been tithing like you should...and God is not pleased." "The Pastor needs a love offering because he's going away on vacation." or "he needs some new robes." Are you kidding me? There is a church up here in PG county where the Pastor has two Rolls Royces sitting out front...Black Church...How the hell can you buy two $300K cars and you have members who are getting ready to get their lights turned off? or are late on their mortgage? or kids may be short on tuition? "Don't you want your Pastor to look good?" HELL NO, N*GGA!!! Tell me how I can make it through the rough times! Help me to get some of this hate out of my heart! Tell me how I can be a better husband! Tell me how I can be a better friend! A better child of God! Help me to use all the gifts that God has given me to be a better servant in his program! In other words...Do your Job!!!!

LOL.
I don't know. I am a registered libertarian and was for the last presidential election. I don't know if the news media (mainstream) even covers their convention. Maybe CSPAN will have something.

DC, Don't feel that you have the corner on the preachers who love the almighty dollar. There are plenty of white preachers who prey on poor white people to give them the good life. I, fortunately, have found a church and a pastor who preach the word with an emphasis on loving our brothers (regardless of color) and trying to improve the world and situation we live in. We get too hung up on doctrin and dogmas and forget that it is really very simple. Jesus gave two great commandments. The first, " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your might." Second to that is "Love your neighbor as yourself. " If we apply these two commandments to all that we do the world would be a pretty good place. One more thing. To properly apply the second great commandment we should learn to love who we are. If we are to love our brothers as we love ourselves, we better learn to love ourselves. Please bow your heads for prayer. Brother DC would you dismiss us today.

No Doubt, Poleon... I know I've told you this before...But I was talking to my Mother-In-Law, and she said that because of the tax bracket that my wife will be in, we should be voting Republican...but we hae to realize that most of the people in our community aren't in our economic situation... I'm just venting because my wife refuses to watch the RNC and I have no outlet... Still makes me upset that Black people usually won't make an informed decision when they vote... Don't vote for the Republicans because they may say a few things that you like...look at the whole picture...The same with the Democrats...don't let them come into your communities and churches and make promises and solicit your votes...and then you don't see them for another 2 or 4 years...and they haven't fulfilled any of the promises that they made...
