For some reason I simply can't stand tropical climates. Perhaps it is because I live in a huge steam room known as the greater Houston area. I like cooler climates much more. I have always liked the mountains (perhaps this is because I dislike living at 71 ft above sea level). For the most part Boise ID, Westcliffe CO, Casper WY, and Harpers Ferry WV. Plus since I am originally from Cleveland OH, I at least am used to the cold weather. Wow we will actually have a low tonight of 58!!!! Here are our highs over the last week: 91,88,90,87,85,86,79. It was late october and we were still getting 90 degree weather, I was pissed! Finally a cold front has arrived though.......perhaps I should say cool front. Something interesting to think about (at least for me) this was the hottest october on record in Houston... ??Does someone want to send me some snow?

Haha, I get to go to Iowa for a football game and Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll see snow.

I hate beach-type vacations is what I mean. Why, beach vacations are great if your in the right place. Great beaches, great nightlife, tons of hot girls. There's usually lots of money in those areas, so there's tight rides everywhere. If it's too hot just grab a body board and hop in the ocean... good surf is a must. I hate the Gulf of Mexico!

Beach type? Australia is pretty high up there when it comes to destination scuba places. The great barrier reef. I don't see anything that they Sydney nightlife has over, say, Amsterdam or even London. And don't get me started on Brisbane or Melbourne. Ayer's rock is cool. It costs quite a bit more to fly over there than it does to go to a nice Caribbean island though. And the exchange rate is better than in Australia.
