I am just wondering if you guys think that this years' draft class will ever match the talent of the 1996 draft class has done. The 1996 draft class has guys like Kobe Bryant, Jermaine O'Neal, Stephon Marbury, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Peja Stoiakovic, Steve Nash, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Marcus Camby, just to name a few. Now as of right now I dont think any of us think that this years draft class has passed up or even came near the 1996 draftees, but I think that within 4-5 years this young core of players will have just as much progress if not better then the 1996 draft did. Think about it, LeBron, Carmelo, Bosh, TJ Ford, Kirk Hinrich, Dwayne Wade, Milicic, Kaman, Josh Howard, Jarvis Hayes and Reece Gaines will most likely all turn out to be stars in this league someday and there will be a bunch of "no-names" that will come out of this years draft and will pull a Peja or a Dirk and become a superstar out of nowhere. I really think that this years draft class has a chance to become the best of all time if they play to their potential, although 1996's roster looks very impressive.

LeBron might be the best player of both drafts with what he has showed this season so far, he might average a triple double in a season n no1 has done it since Oscar. But I think the 1996 had overall better talent.

It does have more talent yes, but give the 2003 class a few years. I bet that eventually they will be better then the 1996, but nobody really knows how things will turn out so we will just have to see overtime who is better.

I don't think Zydrunas is much of a deal...And I really doubt Josh Howard will be a star, probably another Shane Battier where he's good at many things but doesn't do anything great.

Josh Howard has put up impressive stats on a team loaded with talent, I like his game and I still dont get why the Wolves passed up on him for Ebi.

I think this is one of the deepest draft classes....but it doesnt match '96 in sheer quantity of star players

Only a matter of time will tell which one is better, although right now it looks like 2003 has a lot of catching up to do.

I saw Howard last year vs UNC at Winston- Salem and he is was really impressive haven't really seen him that much in the NBA but looks to be doing very good on a loaded team like the Mavs.
