Assume, assume, well asume this, I was not one of those people. What I AM ASKING is, what team will win the Title. And the Pistons have the best players to do that. Do you not agree? Because this is what the post is about. Any team could have a huge injury. So, if you think the Pacers would in the Title. Expalin how instead of saying the Pistons could have injuries.

I don't think they will. Even though they have gotten better, McDyess is a huge pickup, and Milicic should be ready to contribute this upcoming season...
Miami will give them a run in the East, along with Indiana. In the West, I see only 2 teams that could win the finals, San Antonio and Minnesota. San Antonio added Brent Barry, giving them a 3 point shooter, the 1 thing they were missing last season. Minnesota has kept their squad together, and with a full season from Wally and Troy Hudson, they will be tough.

Darko Milicic won't contribute. I'm convinced. The Pistons could slow Wade with Prince and throw bodies at Shaq. The Heat have no players at all and there going to be a terrible shooting team. Detroit can throw bodies at Shaq all day long. Minnesota, there guys are another year older. Throw Prince on Wally and Wally is out of the game. Throw people at KG, problem solved. Minnesota just doesn't get my vote for winning the title. The Pacers, never really play well in the playoff's and losing a power guy like Harrington was a HUGE loss. They have to hope that Jon Bender will have a big year.
The Spurs. The only team that can beat the Pistons. They have Duncan, Ginobilli who is in his prime, and Parker who is so good so young that it's rediculous but he always dissapears in the playoff's. The finals are going to be the Spurs and Pistons.

The thing is one injury to Rasheed Wallace or Rip Hamilton and the Pistons aren't that great either. If you had all the sports knowledge in the world, you wouldn't be moderating this board everyday so let's just wait and see what happens. You seem to forget the basic fact that Rasheed WAS hurt the entire Pacers series, and the Pistons still beat Indiana. There's no doubt that Indiana is a good team. The biggest problem that the Pacers have is the simple fact that Ron Artest has an anger management problem. Until he can learn to channel his emotions (like 'Sheed did after coming to Detroit), Indiana will never climb to the summit top and hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy.

Gilbert Arenas has more of an anger issue then Ron Artest does now. I think he is over that. Ron Artest just didn't show up in the playoff's.

well, you're absolutely right that Artest's temper was never really a factor in the playoff series... directly, at least. Although, I think that you have to admit that his game was off because of the Piston's D... and the D was getting him frustrated... the more frustrated he got, the worse his game got... the worse his game got, the more frustrated he became.
He's a hothead... but then again, Rick Carlysle did do a good job at keeping him as doing a better job during this past season... but sometimes, Artest just had to be Artest - and it hurt the team.
It was the same way I felt about Rasheed out in Portland, but that sniff of a title must have calmed him down a bit... it's going to be interesting to see how he plays this season.

Well shit, give me a reason? None of you have. Cuz the Spurs will, be waiting coming out of the West and with their additions as well as the core being together for more than one season and Tony Parker another year older and wiser...I really think this team can bring it home, Barry was a huge pick up, so with Parker, Ginobili, Bowen Nesterovich and Duncan starting, with Barry, Rose, Horry and Brown coming off the bench they will be able to compete and beat anybody ..reason enough, oh and don't count Minny out just yet KG might have something to say as well

**Choke**
Wolves and Nuggets no. Wolves are another year older and didn't really add anybody, Johnson is a year older and Michael Olowokandi still sucks. The Nuggets could but the Nets had Martin with Jason Kidd and couldn't do it, in Denver you have Martin who still has no post moves and Carmelo Anthony who may be tired from the Olympics.

Jesse, Parker is 5 years older than you, lets see what level you're playing at when you see 21...Parker didn't play well l, I'll give you that, but to say a 21 year old chokred at that level..is a bit harsh

If a 15 year old can win gold at the Olympics and not make one mistake during her gymnastics run I think it's possible for Tony Parker to make a few shots in the finals.
