All I have to say is that there overhyped to the point that it's rediculous. Now because of the Olympics everyone thinks these International players that played well against us are stars. The truth is that we have weeded out most of Europe/Russia's good players. China, South America, and Africa are still not good enough.
-People that say International Basketball has caught up with ours are stupid. Many of these players that killed us in the Olympics weren't good enough to get a roster spot in the NBA. It's just a different league and people just don't understand that.
List of International Players that are better then the Average NBA player.
1. Tim Duncan 2. Dirk Nowitzki 3. Predrag Stojakovic 4. Yao Ming 5. Tony Parker 6. Emanuel Ginobili 7. Pau Gasol 8. Andrei Kirilenko*
If that is what people mean with "caught up" to the NBA they need to think again.

But the fact of the matter is that the international players are coming in and playing better team basketball and that is what wins games, look at the last two NBA Champs great teams, not a couple of superstars playing well together...hate to say it Jes, but you're wrong

Forgot Andrei Kirilenko but Carlos Arroyo is only an average player at best.

These guys are coming in and playing better team basketball. What the hell is your argument? For the most part these players come in and play well, all i'm saying is that International Basketball is not even close to being as good as ours. I don't care about the Olympics, that was a team thrown together in 2 weeks. I don't care if a bunch of average Greek's beat us because our US Team doesn't represent every team, bring that Greek team to the US to play the Spurs and they get beat.
These International players are so overrated it's irratating.

It's Radoslav Nesterovic and he's only an average Center. No kidding Parker, Duncan, Ginobili, are all great international players, I know that, but international players are not even close to being as good as the US.

Do you actually have anything to add?
International Basketball is not as good as ours. Duncan, Ginobili, Parker are a few of the really good ones.

carlos arroyo isn't average. he is in his 3rd year and playing very well. there is also steve nash, samuel dalembert, there are probably at least 30 above average to up and coming international stars. there's guys like nene and just a shit load more.

Dalembert only blocks shots at this point, and Nash shouldn't count, he's Canadian. ;D

I wish there were a few other opinions than ours, I think others would feel the same as I do...and as for me adding something it seems you have your mind made up, right or wrong...do you actually think?

My point is that international Basketball has not caught up to ours, and you think it has.

Underrating them? They have a few great players but it kind of proves my point that in just around 7 years we have most of their good players. You bring the players that whipped our ass's in the Olympics and have them play teams in the US, they get beat.
