SOUTH #1 Duke- Best defensive team in the land #2 Mississippi State- Best team in the SEC, easily could be undefeated at this point
EAST #1 St Joes- I know, they haven't played anybody tough, but they are undefeated and playing really well right now #2 UCONN- Maybe the most talented team in the nation, but have not proven to perform consistently
WEST #1 Stanford- Undefeated in a major conference, even if the Pac-10 stinks this year. Two impressive wins over Arizona #2 Gonzaga- 19-2, with both losses coming to undefeated teams. I don't really know much else about the Zag's.
MIDWEST #1 Pittsburgh- 2nd Best defensive team in the land. Easily could have won in each of their losses #2 Oklahoma State- Proved that they are the best in the Big 12 by taking Kansas to the woodshed last night

SOUTH#2 Gonzaga- 19-2, with both losses coming to undefeated teams. I don't really know much else about the Zag's. not only that, but they were both by only 7 points, if both games were later in the season the zags would kill both of them because they are the top teams and the zags would step up their game, they barely lost to both of them when stanford and st joe's were just thought of as good teams now they're thought of as great

I wouldn't be shocked if Miss St stole the 1 seed, I think a team like Pitt deserves it more, but the way they are playing and in a struggling SEC they could easily win just about every game left if not all.

Mississippi State just picked up a HUGE win tonight at South Carolina in OT. I think they are without a doubt the best team in the SEC(2nd best conference IMO), and may well take over Pittsburgh for the last #1 seed.

West 1 - Stanford. A true contender if they can get the choke monkey off their back 2 - Oklahoma St. Haven't seen them play yet, but their wins and margin of victory have been impressive of late.
South 1 - Duke. Is the ACC really that good? We'll see. If they are, Duke would have to be the favorite 2 - UConn. Another tournament rivalry between Duke and UConn. Alot of bitter history between the two
East 1 - St. Joe's. This team is for real 2 - Gonzaga. The NCAAs like to create rivalries. St. Joe's and Gonzaga have played 3 straight years and the committe will try to set up an Elite 8 rematch
Midwest 1 - Kentucky. They will beat out Mississippi St. for the SEC crown 2 - Mississippi St. Setting up a 3rd game between the 2?
