If they have anywhere close to the D they had last year they a great shot at winning it all. And by the way LSU should have won the outright championship last year because USC played a much weaker opponent in their bowl game. LSU would have beaten USC if they played last year

LSU only made the Sugar Bowl because of teams like Boise St. and Hawaii winning (teams they didn't even play). I heard a sportswriter on ESPN say last year that LSU's fate was being decided by a team that plays on blue turf and a team that isn't even on the continental U.S., which is a pretty good comment actually. They shouldn't have taken S.O.S. out as a whole, just narrowed it to the records of your opponents... not your opponents AND your opponents' opponents. I'm a huge LSU fan but they won a NC and USC won a NC... that's how it works.
LSU beats USC by a late turnover turned into points in the Orange Bowl... not some other bowl.

Does anybody realize that LSU lost their QB and main reciever. They play @auburn, @uga and @ Florida. However my high school team could play their Non-Conference games except OSU. Look for the SEC champs to come out of the east!

Both LSU and USC will again be good this year. However I don't think either of them will get to the Orange Bowl. These are my BCS bowl predictions........... ORANGE BOWL Oklahoma 12-0 vs. Georgia 12-0 W-Oklahoma 13-0 L-Georgia 12-1 SUGAR BOWL LSU 10-2 vs. Texas 10-1 W-LSU 11-2 L-Texas 10-2 FIESTA BOWL Virginia 11-0 vs. West Virginia 11-0 W-Virginia 12-0 L-West Virginia 11-1 ROSE BOWL USC 11-1 vs. Michigan 9-2 W-USC 12-1 L-Michigan 9-3

Waitaminute, you have VIRGINIA winning the ACC? What are you smoking. No QB this year. Not Virginia. No way.

No way. ===================================== At the beginning of last year would you have said USC had no QB? You probably would have, and look where they ended up (12-1, split NC.....just in case you forgot.). As long as they get consistant play from their QB, UVA will be dangerous.

Isn't Marques Hagans going to be their QB? He'll be pretty good now.

Look, the ACC is the best conference this year, and has the most parity. There are 7 teams that could come out champions.
Miami, Florida State, Clemson, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia Tech and NCState all have shots, but i really doubt that any will come out undefeated.
Also, quote me on this, WVU will not beat Maryland.
They are 0-4 since the Fridge has come to College Park, and have been dismantled every time.
They have lost, by year:
2001: 32-20 in College Park 2002: 48-17 in Morgantown 2003: 34-7 in College Park 41-7 at the Gator Bowl
My point is that they will not be undefeated going into their bowl game.

We are in agreement to a certain extent. West Virginia is vastly overrated. But their schedule sucks, so they run the table. Maryland will be down this year. And just as a little side note here. GT isn't a title contender.

Watch out for GT, they had a top 10 defense last year and most of it is returning. They also have an outstanding running back and a good quarterback.
