I am going to go with Oklahoma as the best overall defense in the country. LSU should lead in the Scoring D department. Miami will be the best pass defense. And USC will be the best rush defense.
My Overall Rankings 1. Oklahoma 2. LSU 3. Georgia 4. Kansas State 5. Miami

Who picked Michigan? Really now. Didn't their D get oh, mauled by USC? Lots of prospects showing up this year?

Total Defense-Oklahoma Scoring Defense- LSU Rushing Defense- USC Passing Defense- Miami
Oklahoma really just has the rare quality of being great in every aspect of Defense. They will probably rank in the top 5 or so in every other catagory. My prediction (260 ypg).
LSU is very similar to Oklahoma. The SEC however does not have offenses that are as good as the BIG 12s therefore LSU will give up fewer points. My prediction (10 ppg).
USC does not play any real rushing offenses. Therefore their numbers will be bolstered a bit by the lack of rushing attempts against them. My prediction (68 ypg rushing)
Miami was the best in the country at this last year and I don't see that changing even with all of their losses. My prediction (150 ypg passing).
Honorable mention: Georgia, Auburn, Michigan, Kansas State, Ohio State, and Iowa.
