I think it would be fair that all the independent ads cease. Kerry has never asked that the attack ads against President Bush be taken off the air. As far as the swift boat ads being lies, Kerry could staighten it all out if he would release his complete Military records (as Bush did). We should not even be discussing Viet Nam, but Kerry has used it as his sole qualification to be President. He has been successful in getting attention off his Senate record. He has missed more votes that any other senator and has authored no legislation in all his years in the senate. While he says he doesn't want to increase taxes on the middle class he has voted 98 times to raise sales and gas taxes which directly effect the middle class. There are many ways to raise our taxes other than income taxes. Someone wrote that these swift boaters have waited all this time to come forward. Well, it is the first time Kerry has run for president plus they did challenge him in 1971 about his lies he told congress calling the vets rapist and baby killers. He definately needs to apologize to all vets for his testimony before congress and all his antiwar activities.

I would need a link to see to believe that. The only american judge mentioned was the one overseeing the entire panel. Regardless, the protest must be made before the awards are final unless there is proof of corruption and again, if you review the entire performance you must take .2 off the routine which means the Korean still would not have won the Gold. This is why I don't like any "sports" that use subjective judging.

Let's go stictly by the rules. Isn't that what is right and ethical. The rules state that you cannot protest the scoring after the results are final. Point two, if they want the scoring reviewed then let's review the total scoring which showed that the Korean was not deducted an automatic .2 for having one more handstand that you are allowed. Remember when Colorado was given 5 downs against Missouri in football and scored the winning points on the 5th down. They eventually were National Champs. Let's go back and change that.

Rather personal too. Depending on your definition of "it".

I am about sick to death of gymnastics. Thank God they are finally over. Why they even broadcast what went on last night is beyond me. No competition and not much showmanship. Anyway, Tim Daggett did show the Koreans routine that was in question and did point out that the Korean did 4 "holds" when you are not allowed to do more than 3. There is an automatic deduction of .2 for doint 4, so the results would have been the same. Plus did you see in the individual events the Korean did terrible, so leave the results as they are. IMO

In the first place, the judges are not allowed to review the replays, which they did. However, if you are going to review the tape, they also found an error in the performance which was not counted against him. If you ad the one mistake and take off the other mistake Hamm is still the gold medal winner. It would however make the Koreans trade places, so let them trade medals and everything is fine.

New would never work. Some of those gymnast would do the splits and it would take three grown men to get them unstuck. hahahahahaha Another appropriate place for this smilley.

I didn't realize that you are not of voting age, but think it is great to have an interest at your age. Workjockey and I are great friends on here although we are diametrically opposed politically. We do enjoy sharing our views. If you happen to catch me on here jump in and perhaps by the time you are of voting age we can make you into a conservative.

Now that we have a thread where we can speak our mind without being moved around and locked down, let me clear a few things up. I wish whoever is in charge of the time on this board would get their head out and fix the clock. How does catsfan get to be a veteran on this board? Someone needs to try to get hold of Murf and Kodiac and invite them over to this board. We also need to email bb and let her know. Come basketball season she will get on CBS and think the rapture has occured and she missed it. I don't mind the moderators joining in on our conversations as long as they don't lock them down or move them somewhere. Cursing has never been a problem with me, but I know some of you need reverse filters to filter your typing. LOL Now, one more thing. Some of you were aware of the recent election in Missou concerning riverboat gambling in Rock A Way Beach. You also know that the measure failed, much to my delight. Two things you will get a kick out of. The chamber of commerce in Rockaway declared an all out boycot of Branson. You would not believe how that has improved the traffic in branson. Now this week one of the resorts in Rockaway Beach has taken it upon himself to declare Labor Day weekend as Gay weekend at Silver Dollar City. He has placed ads in papers inviting gays to stay at his resort and visit SDC. He is trying to ruin the business for the biggest weekend of the year for Branson. Don't think it will work. I am confident the resort owner must be one of those left wing pot smoking liberals. j/k wordjockey

Hi txheel, we wondered if you got the word. Have you moved yet or is that later. The moderator will soon move this thread to general conversation since it is not sports related, so just to be safe. Rock Chalk Jayhawk. What is a tarheel?

Trust me mods. You do not want to see Tubgirl unless you want to know why CBS became so hard to live with. The ESPN crew posted Tubgirl and things were never the same. If you want to see it for background info, ok, but it is the most discusting thing you will ever see. Cover your eyes. hahahahahaha
