Other than blocking Mike Lees shot from the corner, what has Hakim ever done. Wait a minute, that was probably enough.

Recruiting: KU will have two recruiting visitors from Dallas next weekend. Kevin Rogers, a 6-8 forward from South Oak Cliff High, told rivals.com he had decided to visit KU the same weekend as buddy C.J. Miles, 6-5 from Dallas Skyline. Both have said they might commit to KU if they had good visits
I sure hope Hansbrough doesn't announce Monday that he picks KU because we wouldn't have schollys for these two. I would rather have them than TH since they will probably be 4 year players.

bballfan, Regarding your earlier inquiry about Hawkins. Bill Self never discloses the exact nature of why a player is suspended, but Jeff was at the scrimmage Sat (not suited up) and is working out on his own. Bill Self says he is doing things the right way and hopes he can reinstate him by Oct 15. Self is considering redshirting one or two guards this year and I think Jeff Hawkings might be a candidate.

Texas probably scares me more than any other team in the Big 12. If they only had a coach. ;D

Where is the moderator when you need him. Coop, you have me at a disadvantage as I really don't want to come down on UK. I really don't see anything wrong with pissing off your porch.

From what I am reading Miles may commit when he visits the end of this month, if he has a good visit. Rogers will probably commit if he does.

Supposedly at his high school at 5PM. I hope he goes to UNC and screws up their recruiting. He will take up one of the schollys and then won't ever go. KU should just go for the two Dallas kids and forget Hansbrough.

I hate Duke just because I can. I don't hate any fan, player or coach, just Duke. They (Duke) are so easy to hate and when you are hating an institution rather than people you are not violating any scripture. (That comment was a result of your Christian comment elsewhere Matt)LOL

I know none of you care a thing about the MVC, but since my son is a Jr. at SMS I felt compelled to at least see their name on the board. They return all but one starter and have a 6'11" redshirt which will help and Dru Richards, the missou Mr Basketball will join the team. Go Bears and Rock Chalk Jayhawks.

I read yesterday that the new arena is sold out for all home basketball games. There were many sold to corporations. Bet your free tickets at Walmart.

If our UK friends could come up with the tickets I will provide the trasportation from KC and we can have a party the night before with a command performance by TBTSTW.

Bill Self is shitless, so no worries. He experiences the best college atmosphere in America at every home game so he won't be in awe. By the way, I am planning to ge there as wordjockeys guest. By the way, I hope he figures out we all left.

I really like the college guys playing, but agree they might be overmatched at times. Perhaps the national champs could go supplimented by a few pros. Maybe five to seven from the NC and then a few select pros to fill certain needs. The college kids will play team ball and try harder and it might inspire the pros. Just a thought.
