I thought Mihm was staying with the Lakers and the Celtics got Marcus Banks back? They (LA) got Jones instead of Banks, but Fox and Payton were the only two LA players sent

Payton said he'll retire maybe if he's shipped Boston, and Brian Grant is one of the better rebounders in the league, Chris Mihm isnt bad, Karl Malone is still a 10. 7. 2 guy, and Slava is productive off the bench. To me, thats depth. And Vlade seemed to be effective with the Kings. If you're counting Mihm, then Payton is retired or a Celtic....cuz they were in the same deal...you can't have your cake and eat it too...

I say a 5 or 6. They have very solid perimeter play. Kobe, Odom, George, Butler, Payton if he stays, Walton. And down low they dont have stars, but quality role players in Grant and Divac. People are underating this team. Kobe wont have to cover the best perimter player anymore, so he wont have to work harder. Payton was traded to the Celts, I think they'll get 6 or 7 , but their lack of a PF and Vlade as your center is going to make it tough on Kobe, Bet money his percentage goes down this year without the Shaqzilla in the middle

i would start lebron and melo. How would that make them better, those guys are still young, albeit not as selfish as an Iverson, but even AI is trying to play team ball, dont think that would help

Listen, he makes valid points. But that's not the issue. It is useless for him to sit there now and just rip everyone and everything when he's been hired to do a job. This isn't his fiefdom with an NBA franchise; it's the United States Olympic men's basketball team. The sacrifice he's asking his players to make for the greater cause is one he won't do himself. Sometimes, you've got to stand there and take the hits. Sometimes, you've got to protect your people. He won't do it. USA Basketball is getting killed for this team, and Brown just piled on with the rest of the country.
This guy was a bit harsh, and yes Larry is self serving, but before you can comment or ridicule. Put yourself in his shoes, and say what would I do, in the same situation....

I don't care for the way Brown is coaching but I would like to see swings thrown. That's funny, that Spanish coach must have gotten confused. the guys was waving his finger at Brown, Pop was trying to keep them apart and you could read Brown's lips "don't point your f***ing finger at me" said a few times, they kept going at it and finally they had to be restrained from going at each other...

did ya'lll see Brown and the Spanish coach going at it , Brown called a timeout to adjust for the full court press up by 11, apparently the Sapnish coach thought he was showing him up...got pretty heated, and they had to be separated...

Danny Ainge, Isiah Thomas. Kupchak of the Lakers , cuz I don't think he's really pulling the strings, and I would have to say the Clippers GM (though his hands are tied with Sterling as his owner)

Why? Tony Parker is only 21 years old. no, the part about him "ALWAYS DISAPPEARING" in the playoffs

Darko Milicic won't contribute. I'm convinced. The Pistons could slow Wade with Prince and throw bodies at Shaq. The Heat have no players at all and there going to be a terrible shooting team. Detroit can throw bodies at Shaq all day long. Minnesota, there guys are another year older. Throw Prince on Wally and Wally is out of the game. Throw people at KG, problem solved. Minnesota just doesn't get my vote for winning the title. The Pacers, never really play well in the playoff's and losing a power guy like Harrington was a HUGE loss. They have to hope that Jon Bender will have a big year. The Spurs. The only team that can beat the Pistons. They have Duncan, Ginobilli who is in his prime, and Parker who is so good so young that it's rediculous but he always dissapears in the playoff's. The finals are going to be the Spurs and Pistons. the statement about Parker sounds dumber every time I read it...
